News, Weather & Ice Fishing Times For Port Loring Ontario

So how you all doing this morning?  Good I hope.  Didn’t get the storm we were suppose to last night and that is OK by me.  Still got to clean out the old driveway some but thinking I can do it by hand./ Give me some exercise.  A bit cloudy this morning but should see some sunshine later on.  Temperature is going to reach 30 °f through out the day and then drop to 21 °f   later on tonight.  Barometer is holding steady and sitting at 29.73 in Hg.  Winds are coming in at 3 MPH from the North East.  The moon will rise at 11:10 AM & set at  2:08 AM.  It will be overhead at  7:05 PM & underfoot at  6:40 AM.  Moon Phase today is Solunar Table Moon Phase is 56% percent waxing gibbous  56% Waxing Gibbous.   The sun rose this morning at 6:56 AM and will set at  6:06 PM, giving us here in Port Loring 11 hrs. 10 mins. of daylight.  Days are steadily getting longer.  For those wanting to go ice fishing and would like to know the best times to be out there.  The old weather stick says the best will be from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM.  Highway is partly snow covered with some icy sections.

News For Port Loring & District

Well first day of March. Amazing how fast this winter moved along.  Myself spring can’t come soon enough as I sure have missed the front porch sittin’   We didn’t get the weather that could have come our way last night but we did have around five inches or so of new snow.  For the folks that were wondering if I was putting out a new book this spring the answer is no.  I decided on getting some rest this winter.  That was the plan.  Then the urge hit to write, so for the past few days now been steadily doing up stories for my newspaper columns.   So looks like I will have lots of new stories for another book come next spring.  Not sure of what I will call it yet but will keep you up to date as time goes by.  Have a great day my friends and stay safe.
