TGIF. My son says that to me every Friday on the chat thing we have set up to talk to each other through the day now and then. Means Thank God It’s Friday. New thing for the young ones on the Internet. Just one more item added to our vocabulary of words. For those that don’t like it, well…..your probably just jealous you didn’t think of it first. LOL Any ways. Good morning to ya all. Today unfortunately, it will be windy. A few showers early then clearing with ample sunshine by the afternoon. High 72F. Winds SSW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 30%. Tonight we will have partly cloudy skies. Low near 50F. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph. Reason I say unfortunately, is that the lake I like to go fishing on gets rough when the winds get up there a touch. Oh well Mother Nature does what she wants. Can’t say I blame her neither. Barometer this morning is holding steady at 28.91 was falling through the night. The moon will rise at 9:38 AM and then set at 12:30 PM. Moon Phase is 19% Waxing Crescent. The sun woke at 5:36 AM and will set at 8:55 PM, giving us here in Port Loring; 15 hrs. 19 mins. of daylight. The old weather stick says the best times to be out there fishing today will be from; 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Then again from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
News For Port Loring
Well other than a great looking day out there not much going on. Folks are busy at their cottages and I am sure more will be headed this way through out the day, being Friday. I was talking to a OPP Officer in Britt the other day and he said the Highways were hectic out there with accidents and folks speeding. You know….driving to fast doesn’t in reality get you to your destination any quicker. What it does do though, is put you, your family and others, in a greater risk bracket of not getting there at all, or becoming seariously hurt. When that happens no one wins my friends, so drive according to what is specified and drive safe. Bug report; Black fies and Mosquitoes still not to bad but they are out there. Not enough to discourage a fellow or gal from fishing though. Have a great day my friends.
