Good morning.  Hope all is well with every one.  Today it will be windy with snow flurries this morning.  Partly cloudy with some sun today. We will see some very intense wind chills today which will push temperatures down to -30F. High today will only reach 3F. Winds will be from the WNW at 20 to 30 mph.  From my data I figure we could see another inch or so of snow.  We could see some wind gusts of over 40 mph.  Come tonight it will get very cold due to the clear sky.  Kind of thinking it will be the coldest day of the year so far with lows dropping down to  -25F. or for those using metric -35C. Winds will change to the North North West coming in this evening at 5 to 10 mph.  So one will for sure need that extra blanket on the bed tonight.  The sun did rise this morning showing off some at; 7:53 AM & will set at: 5:07 PM.  Giving us here in Port Loring; 9 hrs. 14 mins.  Gained 1 minute of daylight yesterday.  For those wanting to head on out to do some ice fishing today.  First off you should dress warm and the second take extra care with the high winds.  The old weather stick says the best time to be out there today will be from: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM.  Highway 522 is snow covered with packed snow and Ice.  One should take caution if driving.  Sanders are out but with temperatures being so cold the ice doesn’t melt that good.  Exact weather data from our weather station…….

News For Port Loring

Other than being cold not much happening in and around town. Folks are moving slowly which is a good thing.  I will say this though.  It’s so cold outside the icicles are even shivering outside my window.   Enjoy your day.
