Happenings In & Around Port Loring Ontario Canada

Good Morning:  Much colder waking up this morning.  Temperatures were sitting at -26.6 C | -15.88 F.

Forecast For Today:  Fairly fine, possible snow early.

Snow Report:  Around a 1 1/2 feet on the ground, less in some areas.  Yesterday and last night we had 3 more inches.

Highway Report:  Highway 522 is pretty well covered with hard packed snow.  The ploughs have been out doing their job.  Travelling should be OK for today, but in saying that care should be taken.

Ice Fishing Times:  This morning the old weather stick is saying that the best times to be out there will be from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM.  Then again a bit later from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM.  I give it a three fish rating out of 5 for catching a few.   Good Luck!

Around Town.  Our Winterfest starts tomorrow and into the weekend.  Lots of events and things going to take place.  For all the details click flyer below.  ltss-0463 On another note my driveway needs cleaning once again.  With the snow being so light I will do it by hand, which in turns gives me the exercise I need.   Actually I enjoy being out there, as it brings me closer to Nature.  So my friends, heading off for a nice hot cup of tea.   English Breakfast with at touch of Dandelion for health this morning.   Stay warm  as very cold weather will be with us from Saturday into Monday.
