Happenings In & Around Port Loring Ontario

Good Morning.  Cloudy day out there waking up.  Temperatures were sitting at 16.3 C | 61.34 F.

Forecast For Today: Rather unsettled clearing later in the day.  Should see some sunshine entering into the picture tomorrow then another day or so of rain.

Highway Report:  Highway 522 is bare and wet throughout.  Care should be taken if driving as the deer and moose are being forced out of the bush, onto the highways by the blackflies.  Other than that travelling should be good.

Bug Report:  Few black flies in our area as of now.  The damp warm weather will bring on more in the coming days.

Fishing Report.  Today the old weather stick is saying that the best times to be out there will be from 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM.  Then again later on from 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM.  I give it a 5 fish rating out of f5 for catching a few.  Winds are coming in from the South South West and calm at the moment.

Around Town.  Not to much going on in our small community.  Few cars moving up and down the highway.  Kind of a lazy held back day.  Weather has a tendency to do that to folks.  Once the sun returns things will pick up.  Tea time here, orange pekoe with a leaf or two of fresh dandelion.  Can’t get much better than that.  Enjoy your day.  You can reach George Walters at [email protected]
