Happenings In and Around Port Loring Ontario

Good Morning:  Not to bad a looking day out there this morning.  A bit cloudy. Temperatures will warm up some in a bit.  Waking up we were sitting at 12.9 C | 55.22 F.

Forecast For Today.  Changeable, mending this afternoon.  Temperatures will rise to near 23 C/71 F.  Good looking day shaping up and will  be nice for tomorrow.

Bug Report:  Blackflies are on their last legs for this season.  Few still bothering folks in certain areas. Mosquitoes are the worst of it all right now. Horse flies and deer flies now entering into the picture too.  They can make a person irritable also.

Highway Report:  Highway 522 is bare and dry with a few deer, moose and turtles venturing out upon it. Care should be taken if out and about.  Seen a few of each yesterday heading into Sundridge.  Other than that travelling will be good.

Fishing Report:  This morning the old weather stick is saying the best times to be out there with pole in hand will be from 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM.  Then once again from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.  I give it a 2 fish rating out of 5 for catching a few.  Winds this morning are very calm coming in from the South South East.  Good Luck!

Around Town. Nothing much to speak of this morning.  Gardens need a bit of hoeing these days.  Tomatoes should be hilled  up with a touch of fertilizer to help them a bit.  With that tea time here orange pekoe with a touch of fresh dandelion is on the menu for this fine Wednesday morning.  Have a great day, make it a good day.  You can reach George Walters if you so wish at [email protected]
