Information For Port Loring Ontario

Good Morning:  Well really nice looking day waking up.  Temperatures were sitting at  17.6 C | 63.68 F.  Will warm up quite a bit as the day moves forward.

Forecast For Tuesday: Unsettled, probably improving. We could see some thunderstorms late tonight and into tomorrow.  Should be nice though for Holiday Wednesday.  Lets hope.

Bug Report:  Mosquitoes are slowing down somewhat.  Blackflies are still here but only in small quantities.  Few deerflies also annoying folks off and on.  Once they find you they keep on bothering you till you either kill them or move indoors.  Kind of a persistent pest.

Highway Report:  Highway 522 is bare and dry throughout.  Critters are still crossing here and there and will do so all summer long.

Fishing Report:  Today the old weather stick is saying that the best times to be out there will be from 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM.  Then once again a bit later from 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM.  I give it a 3 fish rating out of 5 for catching a few.   Good Luck!

Around Town:  Market day tomorrow, for all the information you can click the flyer below.  Other than that gardens are growing leaps and bounds with the nice rain we had yesterday.  Couldn’t have been better.  Lettuce, beets and kale are all growing well and we have been eating them daily for supper.  Great to have fresh veggies on the table.  So with that enjoy your day and stay safe.  Dandelion tea here this morning fresh picked from just outside our door.  Can’t beat that.  You can reach George Walters if you so wish at [email protected]
