Information For Port Loring July 26/2015

Good Morning:  Nice looking day out there so far.  Waking up temperatures were sitting at     17.4 C | 63.32 F.

Forecast For Sunday:  Unsettled, short fine intervals.  Things will warm up considerably for the next four days.  Temperatures could rise as high as 32 C / 92 F.  Even warmer in the sunshine.

Highway Report:  Highway 522 was quite busy late in the day yesterday pertaining to an accident around 2 p.m. on Highway 69, about three kilometres south of Pointe au Baril, in Shawanaga Township.   I guess a pick-up truck tried to pass a couple campers and an SUV hit the truck head on.  Two died in that accident.  Doesn’t pay folks to get in a rush.  A few extra minutes isn’t worth a life.  With this happening some traffic was re-routed through Highway 522.

Bug Report:  Mosquitoes in the evening hours are quite bad in places.  Deer flies are also annoying some near water or shaded areas.  For most parts through the day things are pretty good.

Fishing Information:  Today the old weather stick is  saying that the best times to be out there with pole in hand will be from 5:30 AM – 9:00 AM.  Then once again later on from 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM.  I give it a 2 fish rating out of 5 this morning and a 3 fish rating out of 5 this afternoon for catching a few.  Winds this morning are very calm coming in from the South.   Good Luck!

Around Town:  Very quiet this morning.  Hardly a car moving up or down Highway 522.  Folks are enjoying the cool morning.  This will change though as the day moves forward.  Summer is here.  With that will head on outside, doing a bit of scraping and painting around the old homestead.  One has to take advantage of the warm days when ever possible.  Don’t get too many of them.  Enjoy your day and remember, getting in a rush doesn’t help anything.  What road you choose for the day or path isn’t important, doesn’t matter, what does matter is if you enjoy your day and make it through it.                Inquiries:  [email protected]
