Morning Slice of life Sep24/2020

Good Morning! Well … it’s a cloudy morning here waking up in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. A bit hazy over Lake Memesagamesing. Highway 522 is busy this morning with lots of trucks moving east and west. So many they actually woke me up. I kind of overslept this morning with it being so cloudy. But then again if my wife and I want to lay in bed an extra bit in the mornings … we do so. LOL She says we earned it. Probably right. The leaves are sure turning colour-fast here in our area. Looks beautiful. I will take a few pictures for those in the USA that couldn’t make it up this year because of the virus. I have heard from a few of my friends from the US which is nice. I feel bad for them not being able to travel into Canada. But … hopefully next year things will change. Not good at the moment though, and truth be told they should stay home as we are getting more and more cases every day. Reason being … business’s and some aren’t doing what they are supposed to be doing. I keep on saying. I don’t know where some peoples minds are. I do see that right now, it’s the young between 20 and 40 that are getting it and passing it on. At any rate, such is that. Yesterday I got a spurt of extra energy and painted the trim on the cottage to be, and installed a new eve trough with my wife’s help. Should help a lot in moving the water away from the building. I should have done it years ago. Amazing how some things slips through the cracks. LOL I did do a bit of work in the old woodworking shop, cleaning up my mess. I have to admit as my wife says I sure am a messy Marvin from time to time. But, that’s the joy of having the equipment and know how to do these things. Over the years we have saved thousands doing things ourselves. Probably wouldn’t have today, what we do have if it wasn’t for being self efficient. Anyways … enough of that. I hope you are all well and staying safe. I am off for my morning cup of coffee with my lovely wife, do some serious chatting LOL and then get to work. I have a bunch of perennial plants to move today. Should keep this old feller out of trouble. Oh! If you click on the pictures below they will enlarge for better viewing.
