They are saying that the Liberals will increase the minimum wage to $16 an hour by Jan. 1, 2023. If they win the election.

My opinion on the subject is: It’s fine and dandy to make them statements, but no one is taking into consideration how the small businesses are going to be able to afford this increase. They are having a hard time as it is, to make ends meat. So to speak.

That’s the thing here in Canada, we are dictated to do this, and do that, we don’t have any say anymore. It’s getting worse and worse. Actually, it’s happening all over the world. Years ago, the business’s paid what they could afford, and the people had the option of working or not working. They weren’t forced to pay a certain wage. Kind of a shame the way the world is becoming.
