It’s a cold morning here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada, The temperature feels more like winter than spring, sitting at -4 C | 24.8 F. However it will warm up a lot as the day moves forward. And on top of that, the sun should remain with us pretty well all day before the clouds roll in for tonight. Temperature wise it will now start to rise every day which is okay with us as we both are looking forward to some front porch sittin’ Highway 522 is bare and dry this morning. We did have a pretty good frost overnight, with everything being white this morning.

For the past three days, my wife and I have been enjoying the company of our oldest son and his fiancé. They are leaving to go back home this morning. We only get to see them once or twice a year. Hopefully this virus will mellow out for the summer, which I am sure it will, and we will get to see them more often.

Our cottage worked out nice for them, and the electric heater we bought awhile back kept them nice and warm. Today we will say our goodbyes for a spell and will then get things back to normal, getting things ready for our grand re-opening for our small gift shop around the end of May. We will see how things are working out with this virus.

With that I am off for a bacon and tomato sandwich my lovely wife is making for me and will then see what the day has in store other than what we have planned. Stay safe and have a great day. GW
