Well, been a busy summer so far, the garage sale is over, sold most of everything we had to offer, and what we didn’t sell we gave it to folks that were in need. Kinda gives a feller a good feeling inside helping others.

On another note, our vegetable garden has been throwing us some tomatoes for the past few weeks, and we sure have been enjoying them. Nothing like good tasting tomatoes fresh out of the garden. I kinda like my sandwiches to be toasted, not sure about you folks. That toast seems to give the tomatoes a bit more flavour.

Any extra we are getting my lovely wife has been putting them in the freezer, then after they are frozen, she vacuum seals them, which in turn makes for some damn nice eating come winter.

We also managed after a wet spring to get our firewood in and piled for the summer, its been drying nicely now for a couple months. Not that I will use it this winter as we always buy it a year ahead, so what we will be burning this winter will be last years wood. I have to tell you there is no better heat, than wood heat, that is if it is good hardwood.

You know, I checked my chimney this spring after a full winter of burning, and it was a clean as a whip, so goes to show you what burning good wood is all about. Of course though, we do have a good wood furnace that sits along side our oil furnace. Its a New-mac, one of the best ones that was ever put out. And the nice part is, nothing much can go wrong with them.

We also have had our home on the market for sale this year, if it sells we will be moving closer to our son in St Catharines, not saying that we will be living in St Catharines, just closer. I will post some videos and picture of our home inside and out, later on for anyone that is interested, it is one of the nicest pieces of property in Port Loring featuring a 400 foot frontage, which gives you all the privacy one could want, and close enough to where you can walk to all the town has to offer. So ya been a busy summer.

With that I am off for my lunch, which, will consist of a couple of them tomatoes I was talking about earlier.
