Did you know that Ford and Volkswagen are making cars right here in our country that gets you over 70 MPG, but not allowed to sell them here in our country. They are sold though in the UK and folks just love them.  Amazing isn’t it.  Here we are in Canada and the USA making these cars but can’t buy them.  Why is this? Simple, as if they put these cars on the road here in Canada and the USA, they would loose billions of dollars, as folks wouldn’t use all that gas.  Take a look at this video.  when you get a second.  Pass it on too. Take the blinders off folks.

Canadian-owned I’ll Have Another was the surprise winner of the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby on Saturday at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky.  Goes to show ya we do have a few good horses here in Canada.  Great day for sure. Mexican jockey Mario Gutierrez, who plied his trade at Vancouver’s Hastings Racecourse after moving north from Veracruz, guided the three-year-old colt owned by Paul Reddam of Windsor, Ont., to an official winning time of two minutes 1.83 seconds around the 1 1/4-mile track.

Bubba Watson won his first green jacket and if asked I would have to say it was about the best Masters ever.  My old buddy Mickelson added what was one of his most perfect performances coming in at third place.  There was so many good players this year that if one had to choose it would be drastically hard, as they all played magnificently.  Even Fred Couples did well this year and just goes to show that age isn’t a great factor when it comes to playing the Masters.  Great four days my friends and it is a real shame we don’t recognize it more here in Canada.

Got a note asking for us if we would announce an even taking place at the Powassan Library next weekend.  Sounds like a lot of fun and funds are going to a good cause.  Also what better way to get some sunshine which we all are in need of these days.
