Information For Port Loring Ontario July 22/2015

Good Morning:  Beauty of a day waking up here in Port Loring.  Cool breeze coming in from the North North West.  Refreshing really.  Sun is shinning with temperatures were sitting at  15.8 C | 60.44 F.

Forecast For Wednesday: Changeable, mending.  Great day to do just about anything.

Bug Report:  Mosquitoes and deerflies have settled down some which will allow folks to enjoy the outdoors.

Highway Report:  Traffic has increased quite considerably in the past two days.  Lots of tourists now entering into the picture. Business’s are enjoying the increase in customers too.  Great to see.

Fishing Report:  Highway 522 is bare and dry with some critters making their way across.  Care should be taken.  Sure is a great trip coming in from either Highway 11 or 69.  That is if you like nature.

Around Town:  Plants in our gardens are growing leaps and bounds these days.  Tomatoes are increasing in size.  Pumpkins, squash and cucumbers are starting to run and out in blossom.  Gives one a great feeling just to watch things develop.  I do have one flyer here this morning relating to Rupert’s Variety in Arnstein Ontario.  Great place to shop for most all your needs when it comes to groceries, ice, newspaper along with many other items of choice..  I was in the other day and was chatting to them and was quite taken in by all the merchandise they have to offer. Items For Sale

Hi folks I have decided to sell off some of my woodworking equipment.  Have a good heavy duty thickness planer for sale asking $500.00 OBO along with numerous other things. I also have a beauty of a computer desk I made years ago. Has a black walnut centre, trimmed with cherry.  The front middle is made from pin oak.  All the rest is walnut. One of a kind.  Asking $500.00 OBO. Also have two pairs of snow shoes in excellent condition. Information For Port Loring Ontario

Good Morning.  One really nice day here in Port Loring. Not to cool, not to hot and very comfortable for sleeping.  Waking up temperatures were sitting at 14.8 C | 58.64 F.

Forecast For Today:  Changeable, mending. Could see some rain in to tomorrow.  Will warm up substantially for the weekend.   Summer is here.

Bug Report:  Mosquitoes are slowing down with the dry weather that is upon us.  Deerflies also are being kept at bay.

Highway Report;  Highway 522 is bare and dry throughout other than a few nosy critters making their way across.  Travelling will be good today.

Fishing Information;  This morning the old weather stick along with gathered data from our very own weather station is saying that the best times to be out there with pole in hand will be from 7:00 AM – 9:30 AM.  Then once again from 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM.  I give it a 3 fish rating this morning for catching a few and a 5 fish rating this afternoon.  Winds are coming in from 254 deg | WSW and at the moment it is calm.  Will pick up some later on this morning.  Good Luck.  Great day for fishing.

Around Town:  Not much happening these days.  We have had lots of folks drop by our small store picking up some items of choice.  Also quite a few just to say hi and pick up the new Natural Health Book.  It is amazing the amount of people wanting it.  Good to see, as that tells me folks are wanting to learn and get healthier.  Today I have some work to do in the shop.  Putting a lot of my woodworking tools up for sale.  Getting that time in life.  So with that enjoy your day.  Inquiries:  [email protected]

Information For Port Loring Ontario

Good Morning:  Cool morning waking up. 9.7 C | 49.46 F.

Forecast For Today:  Fairly fine, possible showers early.  Will be quite comfortable for the next few days.  Next chance of rain I am thinking will be on Friday.  We didn’t get any of the much needed rain yesterday.

Bug Report:  Few mosquitoes and deerflies annoying folks but not so bad.

Highway Report:  Highway 522 is bare and dry this morning with a few critters crossing here and their.  Travelling will be good.  No reason to stay home on days like this.

Fishing Report:  Today the old weather stick is saying that the best times to be out there will be from 7:30 AM – 10:00 AM.  Then once again from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM.  I give it a 2 fish rating out of 5 for catching a few this morning and a 3 fish rating out of 5 this afternoon.  Winds are light this morning coming in from the North North West.  Good Luck!

Around Town. Market day.  For all the information click flyer below.  Other than that not to much happening.  Gardens need watering with the rain that was expected yesterday not arriving.  Tomatoes and Peppers especially need to be kept damp on these hot days.  Also one has to remember not to use too cold of water, as it toughens the skin.  I like to fill my rain barrel from the drilled well, then let it set for a day, then use it. Information For Port Loring Ontario

Good Morning:  Beauty of a day here in Port Loring Ontario.  Temperatures waking up were sitting at 18.5 C | 65.3 F.

Forecast For Sunday: Rather unsettled clearing later.  Will become quite warm later on this morning with lots of sunshine.

Bug Report:  Few mosquitoes annoying folks but all and all not to bad.  Places they like are in the bush or buildings and around wet areas.  The sunshine will help a lot.  And don’t scratch!!!!

Highway Report:  Highway 522 is bare and dry.  Travelling will be great.  Few critters making their way across or an appearance just to be nosy.  Care should be taken.

Fishing Report:  This morning the old weather stick is saying that the best time to be out there with pole in hand will be from 5:00 AM – 11:00 AM.  Then later on from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM.  I give it a 4 fish rating out of 5 for catching a few.  Winds are light so far this morning coming in from the south west.  Good Luck!

Around Town.  Our small store is quite busy these days with flute, books and my wife’s paintings being sold.  Great to see folks drop by, makes my day.  On another note the gardens are growing quite well.  They do need some watering which I will get at today sometime.  Not much just a bit to make them feel good.  They as humans do need attention now and then in the way of being looked after.  I did take a picture of my vegetable garden for you to look at if you so wish.  Click Picture below.  With that enjoy your day, stay safe and take in some sunshine.
