Good Morning: Well nice sunny day here in Port Loring for a change. 4th of July Holiday is closing in on us and the USA. Great to see the Americans making there way back up into our country. Great folks. This morning waking up temperatures were sitting at: 10.8 C | 51.44 F.
Forecast For Thursday: Showers possible early, improving as the day moves forward. Should be a great weekend. One can only hope.
Bug Report: Lots of mosquitoes is the norm this time of year. Blackflies are all but gone. Horseflies are increasing a touch.
Highway Report: Highway 522 is bare and dry this morning with some critters making their way across. Care should be taken if out and about. Great day to travel.
Fishing Report: This morning the old weather stick is saying that the best times to be out there with pole in hand will be from 5:30 AM – 10:00 AM. Then once again from 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM. I give it a 2 fish rating out of 5 for catching a few this morning and a 3 fish rating this afternoon. Winds are light coming in from the 338 deg | NNW.
Around Town: Nothing to much to report here on this fine morning. Quite quiet really. Yesterday hardly a car moved up and down the highway. Understandable with the weather being not so good. Things should pick up after today I would think. Usually does for most. We have been quite busy in our small store with folks dropping by purchasing my wife’s paintings along with our flutes and books. Busiest year we ever had so far. Great to see folks for sure and always a pleasure to sit and chat for a bit. With that a tea is in order. Orange Pekoe this morning seems to entice us. Enjoy your day and if on the road stay safe, don’t rush. You can reach George Walters if you so wish at [email protected]
