Well good morning.  Cool morning with some frost laying on top of things.  Just finished lighting the old wood furnace, actually it lit itself, as I just put the papers and kindling in her and away it went. Must have had a spark from yesterday still in there.  So….figured it knew its job and went to work all on its own.  The old barometer is still rising and at the moment sitting at 29.15 in Hg.  We will have lots of sunshine today for a change, with temperature reaching  49 °f and then later on tonight it will dip down to 35 °f.  So looks like not so bad with day time temperatures for the next week hovering in the high 40s and some days into the low 50s. If your up to doing some hunting today as fishing I would think is pretty well wrapped up for the year, well the best times for that would be from 9:15 AM till 11:15 AM then again from 3:51 PM till 4:51 PM.  I give it a one star rating out of five.   But one just never knows. The moon will rise this morning at 2:25 AM & set at  3:51 PM.  It will then be overhead at     9:15 AM & underfoot at 9:41 PM.

Not much else happening around town.  Kind of quiet actually for a change.  Good change though, as after a busy summer the home bodies are ready for a bit of time for themselves and family of course.  I know my wife and I are. Got lots planned for this winter, with the making of some more flutes and items for our store.  Then will see if I can find some time to get into writing that novel, that I have wanted to do now for the past four years.  Looking forward to doing that.  When I get to writing, a whole new world opens up to me. Good morning Port Loring. Rhymes how about that. Well a few clouds and lingering showers will be with us today but sunshine is on the way. Winds this morning are from the North West and calm. Barometer is still rising and sitting at 28.76 in Hg. Temperature is going to reach 46 °f and then dip to 37 °f later on this evening. So a bit cooler tonight. For those that want to get out there and do some hunting and fishing, hunting being the priority this time of year, the old weather stick says that from 8:24 AM till 10:24 AM and then later on from 3:23 PM till 4:23 PM. I give it a one star rating out of five today. The moon rose at 1:12 AM before I was out of bed and will set at 3:23 PM. It will be Overhead at 8:24 AM & Underfoot at 8:50 PM.

Good morning. Well woke up to a few clouds and temperatures a touch cool at 40 degrees. Temperature is going to reach 10 °c and then dip to 4 °c later on tonight.Today should be sunny with a few clouds thrown in for looks. Barometer is steadily rising and at the moment sitting at 29.06 in Hg. Pretty hard for it to rain with that happening, but I have seen it happen. If your up to doing some fishing or hunting the old weather stick says, the best times today would be from 2:18 PM till 3″18 PM and later on from 7:08 PM till 9:08 PM. The moon will rise around 11:30 AM and set at 2:18 PM. It will be Overhead: 6:43 AM and Underfoot: 7:08 PM.

So all and all not a bad day lies ahead. Yesterday I put my boat to bed, reluctantly for winter, but figured it was time. Nicer to do it now than wait till them cold north winds get to howling. Yes winter is edging its way into our area, but one doesn’t have to let it get you down. There is lots to be enjoyed, like hunting, ice fishing, snowmobile, or for that matter just walking our trails in and around Port Loring. I do a bit of hunting with some very good friends come November, tell a few tales and enjoy some good company. That’s what life is about my friends, one has to remember, all that matters in life, is that we are happy. Accomplish that, and….. well, you have done more than most. Well good morning. Great looking day shaping up it seems with some sunshine shining down upon us. Will have a few clouds but for most parts sunshine should be with us through most of the day. Temperature is going to reach 52 °f and then dip to 39 °f at night. So might need an extra blanket on the old bed tonight. Barometer is rising and at the moment sittin’ at 28.82 in Hg. Winds are calm coming in from the North West. Fishing & hunting times for those that want to be out there, will be good from 6:17 PM till 8:17 PM. The moon will rise: 10:56 PM & Set at 1:40 PM. It will be overhead: 5:51 AM & underfoot: 6:17 PM.
