Morning report Aug 5/2020

Good Morning! Looking outside it looks like it is going to be a great day here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. The sun is shinning and not to hot. Temperatures waking up were sitting at 14.1 C | 57.38 F. It will warm up as the day progresses … and taking a look at the long range forecast, I am thinking we will be having the best of the best for the next two weeks. Hardly no bugs to speak off, lots of sunshine and not overly hot. Can’t beat that. Front porch sittin’ time is upon us here in the north. Truth be told, that is what every one should be doing, not running around all over the place. But hey! That’s me. Yesterday I did manage to get things all ready to do some more work in the new cottage to be. Cleaned up my shop which was one heck of a mess, and now that the ceiling is in I can get busy and do some trim work. Lots to do … but when all said and done it will be a great looking cottage. Highway 522 is busy as usual and lots of folks moving into our area buying up everything in sight. Myself I would think hanging onto your property would be the best thing to do at the moment, as this time next year property will be worth twice as much as it is today. But in saying that, prices of properties have risen a lot this year in our area. Why is that? Well … folks are finally finding out that being in places that there are a lot of people, isn’t a good thing, especially with this virus going around. You could say it is a wake-up call of what is truly important in life. So with that information under your hat, if you wear a hat … I am off for my morning cup of Dandelion Tea on the front porch with my lovely wife. The body likes it once in a while. Take care, stay safe, and do what’s right.

Today my old weather stick is saying that fishing will be pretty good. I give it a 4-Star Rating out of 5 for catching a few. Shouldn’t be any reason for not having fish in the frying pan for supper. Good luck and stay safe.
