Carbon Tax In Theory

In simple terms, it’s like this: Canada trying to tackle environmental issues alone won’t make much of a difference. The problem of climate change is something that affects the whole world, and it needs everyone to work together to fix it. Making laws to reduce things like greenhouse gases isn’t solely the responsibility of either the national government or the local governments. The federal Liberals tried to make a law that would apply a kind of tax on things that harm the environment, like carbon emissions. This was meant to apply to the entire country, in theory. But because it’s a big, complicated issue, it’s causing a lot of trouble for regular folks like us here in Canada. Which is what has been happening for as long as I have been alive.
