Good morning, You know… thinking on things… not that it really matters to most, but I’ve outlived typewriters, ink ribbons, and editors, but not the words.

Well, it’s a cloudy, gloomy morning waking up here in cottage country. And we had a shower roll through during the night, and that left my shoes soaked as I forgot to bring them in before going to bed. Guess I’ll need to dry them out, though I’m lucky enough to have another pair to keep me going in the meantime.

Port Loring Weather

Monday: Nice day with periods of clouds and sunshine. High near 71°F (22°C), with a low around 55°F (13°C).

Today: A passing morning shower, then cooler with partial sunshine. High around 67°F (20°C), dropping tonight to about 45°F (7°C).

Port Loring Fishing Times

  • Morning: 7:13 AM to 9:13 AM
  • Midday: 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
  • Afternoon: 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM
  • Evening: 7:00 PM to 9:44 PM

Fishing Tip: My old Dad always said if the wind’s in your face, that’s where the fish will be, too. Another good one was to keep an eye on the minnows, as if they’re skittish near shore, you can bet something bigger isn’t far behind.

On another note, yesterday I actually managed to get some work done outside around the home here, and somehow even wrestled a story into submission that’s been nagging me for a while now. Truth be told, it was a mighty fine day… so fine, in fact, I half-expected the world to show up at my door asking what the catch was. But nope, it just let me have it, and I’ll take that as a win.

So what are you to today, GW?

Well today I am thinking of fixing up my shop a bit better, as after that garage sale things aren’t where they should be… and with winter not too far off, and if the house doesn’t sell… well, I will be wanting a place to work in. So yea, that is what I will be doing.

But not until after I have my breakfast, that my lovely wife is making for me.

Until the next time: Keep Your Minds Open & Your Stories Alive. GW
