They are saying that the Liberals will increase the minimum wage to $16 an hour by Jan. 1, 2023. If they win the election.

My opinion on the subject is: It’s fine and dandy to make them statements, but no one is taking into consideration how the small businesses are going to be able to afford this increase. They are having a hard time as it is, to make ends meat. So to speak.

That’s the thing here in Canada, we are dictated to do this, and do that, we don’t have any say anymore. It’s getting worse and worse. Actually, it’s happening all over the world. Years ago, the business’s paid what they could afford, and the people had the option of working or not working. They weren’t forced to pay a certain wage. Kind of a shame the way the world is becoming.

Today in the news they say that a man who killed a woman, and 2 children gets life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years.

This where I disagree with our system. To me, this guy shouldn’t ever be able to get out of jail. Truth be told, I like how things are handled in the USA when it comes to cases like this. My opinion only.

That is fine in theory, but I don’t think it will work, as simply put the rest of the world isn’t doing their share, so all that we accomplish will probably be for nothing, other than costing us here in Canada billions of dollars. As our Powers That Be, can’t do anything without the working man’s money.

And along with that, we don’t have a good alternative to turn to. If it was up to me, I would take what we have, and use our knowledge to make it safe. We have some pretty smart people out there today. But hey! I have been known to be wrong from time to time.

Myself, I kind of think that statement was a mistake. But who am I to say, living in Canada. As our Powers That Be have made their share of not so good statements here at home too.

They are saying that young immigrants may leave Canada due to our high cost of living.

Well, it’s unfortunate, but we that have lived here all our lives have been putting up with it. Handing out more money isn’t the answer. And that, I believe, is what this announcement is really about. Someone trying to get more money. We have been giving too much away as it is to other countries along with other things that I won’t mention. My Opinion Only.
