Good Morning:  Cloudy cool morning waking u here in Port Loring.  Temperatures waking up were sitting at: 15.1 C | 59.18 F.

Forecast For Today: Rather unsettled clearing later.

Bug Report:  As any one knows that lives here the are mosquitoes are quite bad this year.  Blackflies are slowly leaving us with a few deerflies entering into the picture. Need some sunny weather to fix things.  Won’t before we can sit outside and enjoy them lazy days of summer.

Highway Report:  Highway 522 is bare and dry with a few critters moving across it here and there.  Travelling will be good today.

Fishing Times:  Today the old weather stick is saying that the best times to be out there will be from 5:30 AM – 9:00 AM.  Then once again a bit later from 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM.  I give it a 4 fish rating out of 5 for catching a few today.  Good Luck!

Around Town:  Few cars moving up and down the highway these days. Mostly locals at this time of year.  But there is a few tourist’s enjoying what we have to offer.  That being, great resorts, cottages of all kinds, golf course, stores for most all your needs, restaurants, motel, live bait shops, beer store, gift shops, repair shops for your car, trucks or boat motors and things, farmers market on Wednesdays at our community centre, camp grounds along with a couple government parks on the edge of our boundaries.  To top things off some of the best fishing is to be had here also.  Lots of small lakes with pickerel and bass just waiting to be played with.  With that tea time here.  English Breakfast all on its own.  You can reach George Walters if you so wish at [email protected]

Happenings In And Around Port Loring Ontario

Good Morning:  Some sunshine early this morning now clouding up.  Temperatures were sitting at 17.1 C | 62.78 F.

Forecast For Sunday: Rather unsettled clearing later.  Will warm up considerably as the day moves forward.

Bug Report:  Lots of mosquitoes along with some deer flies and blackflies annoying folks.

Highway Report:  Highway 522 is bare and dry throughout.  Travelling will be good.

Fishing Report:  Today the old weather stick is saying that the best times to be out there will be from 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM.  Then once again from 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM.  I give it a 5 fish rating out of 5 for catching a few.  Good luck.

Around Town:  Few tourists entering into the picture.  Businesses are getting a bit more busy.   Gardens are all looking good so far.  Early in the season yet to predict the outcome but things seem okay so far.  Tomatoes are now putting on a show growing leaps and bounds with other vegetables close behind.  Lettuce we have been eating for the past two weeks.  Sure is nice every night to be able to walk out to the garden and pick a bowl or so for the table.  Nothing is more healthier.  With that tea time here.  Dandelion with English Breakfast is our choice here this morning.   Enjoy your day and stay safe.  You can reach George Walters if you so wish at [email protected]

Happenings For Port Loring Ontario Canada

Good Morning:  Nice day shaping up for us here in Port Loring. Temperatures were sitting at 11.2 C | 52.16 F.  Will warm up as the day moves forward.

Forecast For Today: Fairly fine, possible showers early.  Should see lots of sunshine.

Bug Report:  Blackflies are still out there, had lots annoying us yesterday while mowing.  Mosquitoes are still quite bad too with horse and deerflies starting.  The sunshine should fix a lot of the mosquitoes.  Lets hope.

Highway Report:  Highway 522 is bare and dry with lots of critters crossing.  Care should be taken and watch for the  turtles.  I feel bad for them as they aren’t the speediest fellows.

Fishing Report:  This morning the old weather stick is saying that the best time to be out there will be from 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM.  Then once again a bit later from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.  I give it a 4 fish rating out of 5 for catching a few.  Good Luck.

Happenings In and Around Port Loring Ontario

Good Morning:  Not to bad a looking day out there this morning.  A bit cloudy. Temperatures will warm up some in a bit.  Waking up we were sitting at 12.9 C | 55.22 F.

Forecast For Today.  Changeable, mending this afternoon.  Temperatures will rise to near 23 C/71 F.  Good looking day shaping up and will  be nice for tomorrow.

Bug Report:  Blackflies are on their last legs for this season.  Few still bothering folks in certain areas. Mosquitoes are the worst of it all right now. Horse flies and deer flies now entering into the picture too.  They can make a person irritable also.

Highway Report:  Highway 522 is bare and dry with a few deer, moose and turtles venturing out upon it. Care should be taken if out and about.  Seen a few of each yesterday heading into Sundridge.  Other than that travelling will be good.

Fishing Report:  This morning the old weather stick is saying the best times to be out there with pole in hand will be from 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM.  Then once again from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.  I give it a 2 fish rating out of 5 for catching a few.  Winds this morning are very calm coming in from the South South East.  Good Luck!

Around Town. Good Morning:  Cloudy day out there starting off.  Even had the furnace on to take the dampness out of the house a touch.  Crazy Weather.  Today waking up temperatures were sitting at: 16.6 C | 61.88 F.

Forecast For Today.  Still calling for more rain but could see some sunshine a bit later on with warmer temperatures.

Bug Report;  Black Flies are slowly leaving us with mosquitoes still annoying folks a lot.

Highway Report;  Highway 522 is bare and wet this morning.  Care should be taken if out and about..

Fishing Report:  Today the old weather stick is saying that the best times to be out there will be from 7:30 AM –  9:30 AM.  Then once again a bit later on from 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM.  I give it a 3 fish rating out of 5 for catching a few.  Good Luck.
