Weather, Hunting Times & Happenings

ChristmasGood Morning:  Well cloudy day out there this morning. Trees are covered with ice from last nights appearance of misty freezing rain.  Looks nice though.  Temperatures waking up were sitting at  -0.6 C | 30.92 F will warm up another 8 degrees as the day moves forward.  So should see some more melting.

Forecast For Today: Snow or Sleet off and on throughout the day, very unsettled.

Hunting Times: Well last day of hunting here in Port Loring.  Another year behind us.  Hope all got some meat in the freezer along with having a great time.  I know I did.  For the last day the old weather stick is saying that the best times to be out there will be from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.  Then one last time from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.  I give it a 4 Buck Rating out of 5 for seeing a few. Winds are coming in from the South South East.  At the moment they are calm but will pick up some to around 5 MPH a bit later on.  Good Luck To You!!.  Tomorrow I will start with the ice fishing times, a bit early with the ice not being hard enough yet to venture out on.  But will give you an idea of when they are biting.

Information:  Not too much to report here for a fine Monday morning.  Folks are all back to work, kids are off to school and others are thinking on what to buy for Christmas for friends and family.  Only ten more days left before the big day..  Highway 522 is bare for most parts but does have some icy sections throughout.  So care should be taken if out and about.  So my friends, I am heading off for a cup of tea letting the day take me to where I should be.   Stay safe.   You can reach me George Walters if you so wish at [email protected]
