Highway Report: Highway 522 is mostly snow covered after yesterdays weather along with some icy sections throughout. Travelling today will remain poor all day with this freezing rain that is upon us now.
Ice Fishing Times; Today the old weather stick is saying that the best times to be out there will be from11:30 AM – 3:30 PM. I give it a 4 fish rating out of 5 for catching a few. In-spite of the rain it will be a great day for fishing. Good Luck!
Around Town: Well there are a few events and things happening. If you click on the flyers I put up yesterday, they will show all that is taking place. On another note my wife and took a drive into North Bay yesterday, going in roads were bare and dry. On the way home it was another story. In some areas I could hardly see the highway. But with this Ford we have now weather isn’t really an issue, if one drives to conditions. Great vehicle to say the least. And why shouldn’t it be, made right here in Ontario Canada. Stores in North Bay were swamped with folks out and about. Kind of makes me wonder if anyone works on Fridays, other than the folks that work in the stores. Waiting times in line ups were endless in some places of business. Reason behind this, is that folks are saving a bit with the gas prices being down. My old Dad said that if you put money into a working man’s pocket he will spend it. If these gas prices stays down and goes even lower, store owners will thrive even more. Will they stay down? Not likely, as even now they are thinking of adding some more carbon tax. Crazy way of thinking but then again it is all about money in this world today, not about ones well being, like the working man or woman.
