Morning Report Aug 18/2020

Good Morning!. It’s a cloudy morning for us here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. We did have some heavy down pours with lots of thunder yesterday afternoon. There was no damage though which is a good thing. Highway 522 is very busy these days with folks moving around from all over. Extra care needs to be taken when out and around people with this virus. The more people there is … the more chances there is of it latching onto you. “The virus is showing no signs of weakening or going away,” It should also be noted that even though our borders are closed in part. According to our government, more than 35 fights have landed in Canada between Aug. 1 and Aug. 13 that had passengers who tested positive for COVID-19 after arriving in the country.
Most of the flights arrived in Toronto, a few landed in Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary. On another note, yesterday I got a lot done in our cottage to be in the painting department. I will continue on with more of the same today. Temperatures waking up have cooled down somewhat sitting at 12.3 C | 54.14 F. Night time temperatures will start to cool down as the week progresses. Might have to put a thicker blanket on your bed at nights. But day time temperatures will remain quite nice for the next few weeks. With that I am off for my morning cup of coffee with my lovely wife and will then get to work. Take care, stay safe and do what’s right in the health department.

Fishing Times:

Tuesday
08/18/20
Major Times
1:00 PM-4:00 PM
Minor Times
6:30 PM-9:00 PM

Today my old weather stick is saying that fishing will be so, so. With the winds light coming in from the North, it doesn’t help things. I give it a 3-Star Rating out of 5 for catching a few. Good Luck and stay safe.
