Morning Report Sep 9/2020

Good Morning! It’s a cloudy rainy day here in Port Loring Ontario, Canada. Temperatures have sure cooled down sitting at 15.5 C | 59.9 F. It is looking like this weather will remain with us for another day before we see some sunshine. We actually had to turn our oil furnace on in the house the past couple days to take out the dampness and warm things up at touch. Highway 522 is slowing down with a lot of tourists moving back to the cities. Which is a good thing in part, but not so good for them in part. Especially with the opening up of business’s and schools. I know we have to open some things, as our country is dependent on money. It is projected that the federal debt will hit $1.2 trillion by the end of the year. $1.2 trillion is about $31,000 for every Canadian — including children and retirees. I am thinking it will be many years before things get back to normal, if we ever do. Too bad, but that is how we made it. I believe we have to stop funding a lot of huge corporations and a lot that aren’t really hurting or can get by on what they have now. In doing so, we will then have enough cash to help those in real need. I say that again in real need. We are so close now to finding a vaccine, we just have to hang in there for a bit longer. Another thing is that some are saying this virus picks on some, like immigrants more than those that have lived or been born here in Canada. I say that is because they now make up of most our population. To me that is just crazy thinking. This virus picks on anyone that it comes in contact with. It’s not fussy. Simple as that. To me … this is just a way of some getting more money. But hey! Now don’t get me wrong. I am aware and know that it does hurt some … more than others like those with health issues and the elderly that have a low immune system. So with that off my mind. I am off for my morning cup of coffee with my lovely wife, and will then get back to some inside work on our new cottage to be. It’s sure coming along now. Looking more like a small home now all done up. LOL With staying home these days we all have a lot of spare time on our hands. Take care, stay safe and hang in there. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and I don’t mean a light to … the hear after. And remember what I say here on my Blog is my opinion only. Your entitled to yours. LOL

Morning Report Sept 6/2020

Good Morning! It’s a foggy morning here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. We should see some sunshine as the morning moves forward. Temperatures these days have dropped substantially in the evening hours. This morning they are sitting at 15.5 C | 59.9 F. It will warm up a wee bit later on. Yesterday we went to town for some groceries and things which took most of the day. It was a nice day for most parts, till we arrived back home. We then had an hour or so of heavy rain. I am glad we got our lawn mowed on Friday. It does look nice around our property though. There isn’t a window in our home looking out that isn’t nice. Kind of looking at different pictures. LOL Highway 522 is slowing down somewhat with mostly locals moving around. Not sure where they all go. Just browsing around taking in what others are doing I suspect. Today my wife and I are going to clean the chimney pipes in the basement, we did the outside chimney the other day. I kind of figure we had better get it done, as it is getting cool in the house throughout the evening hours and into the mornings. Doing so will be able to light up the wood or oil furnaces. In doing so, we will keep the dampness from getting into the walls, furniture and things. But it is getting on in the season. I also noticed that there a lot of Maple Trees turning colour on our trip to town. Sign of what’s to come. With that I am off for my morning cup of coffee with my lovely wife and will then get to work. Take care stay safe and do what’s right. This virus at the moment is increasing its toll on us humans these days, since we have been opening back up along with those that don’t seem to give a darn. Makes me shake my head sometimes.

Morning Report Sept 4/2020

Good Morning! Looking outside it looks like a real nice day is shaping up for us here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. The sun is shinning and it should remain with us for the next two or three days. It won’t be as warm as it has been, but that is okay with me, as I do have quite a bit of outside work that needs attending around the house here. Which I will get at in time. LOL Highway 522 is picking up with traffic, but it is nearing the weekend. Today my wife and I will get the mowing out of the way. Things are sure growing with this rain we have been having. Yesterday I got a lot done in our woodworking shop and will continue on with things in there come Sunday. On another note, I have noticed that a lot of these protests are slowing down which in my mind is a good thing. BLM in my mind, isn’t about doing good for most parts, it is about tearing down Countries, causing havoc, stealing, robbing, spreading false accusations about some of the world’s best protectors, along with a lot more. I believe that the real truth is, that all lives matter and all these protesters and people that are supporting these demonstrations of no good, need to learn that. But such is life. My Opinion Only. So with that Slice of Life off my mind LOL I am off for my morning cup of coffee with my lovely wife, and then get to work. I hope my old mower is feeling up to par this morning. LOL Take care, stay safe and do what’s right.

Morning Report Sept 3/2020

Good Morning! It’s a sunny day here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. The sun should stay with us for most the day, but we could see some more rain with a thunderstorm thrown in for good measure later on in the day. Depends on which way it tracks. Temperatures have cooled down sitting at 15.5 C | 59.9 F. It will warm up some as the day progresses. Highway 522 is slowing down quite a bit now, other than trucks of all kinds moving up and down the highway. Not sure where they are all going with only one road in and one road out. LOL Yesterday I did manage to get some more work done outside on the cottage to be after the rain stopped. Man it sure rained with winds that slammed my shop door closed so hard it broke my windows. So I had to fix them. You just never know what a day will bring. I start off with one project in mind, and something else comes along. Seems a norm these days. Today I will be working in my woodworking shop on the new bar top and kitchen counter top. I will be happy to see them all made up and looking good. Lot of work. Then it’s up to my wife decorating it with things she ordered here and there. It should be really nice when all said and done. With that I am off for a bowl of oatmeal and a cup of fresh perked coffee, and will then get to work. Take care, stay safe and do what’s right.

Morning Report Aug 2/2020

Good Morning! Well we had a lot of rain overnight here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. It worked out good for my wife and I as I have been doing a lot of outside work on and around our cottage to be. Yesterday I finished most of it before it rained. You know, for all my life no matter what I did when it came to the weather, it worked with me so to speak. It probably doesn’t mean much to most, but it sure did for me over the years. And before some say, it didn’t have anything to do with mythology, or religion, like praying for rain. LOL I believe that is all nonsense as with a lot of other things certain folks believe in. But to each, their own. Yesterday as I said, we got a lot done. Today I will continue on, but in my old woodworking shop. The first thing on the menu is cleaning up the shop as I can sure mess it up when I get into some serious work LOL. After that I will start working on the bar top and the kitchen counter top. Lots of work there, as I am a bit fussy about certain things LOL. Highway 522 is very quiet this morning. I suspect the nasty weather has something to do with that. Which might be a good thing, as it gives folks time to think about certain issues. Like staying away from groups of people of all sizes, things like that. The good news is, they now know for certain that wearing a mask helps a lot with this virus. It won’t stop it completely, but if you are around someone that has it, with you wearing a mask you won’t reap the full force of the virus. It will be a mild dose that most can overcome easily. It’s what I been saying all along, but some seem to think it violates their rights. I say well their rights violate mine, so forget your rights and do what’s right LOL I am finding there are a lot of idiots out there these days. The good news is this virus brings them out into the open for all to see. Anyways … that is my Slice Of Life for this morning LOL. Take care of yourselves, and others. Oh! And for those that are interested in Full Moons:

The final full moon of summer – known this year as the “Corn” Moon – will rise in the eastern sky Tuesday night.
This year, September’s full moon is not the Harvest Moon, which is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox (which is Sept. 22). This year, you’ll have to wait until Oct. 1 for the Harvest Moon. It’s a pretty sight if the skies are clear.

Today my old weather stick is saying that fishing will be at its best once again. I give it a 5-Star Rating out of 5 for catching a few. But in saying that … here in Port Loring the rain will spoil it for some. Winds this morning are strong coming in from the South, South West. Temperatures at the time of this post were sitting at 15.5 C | 59.9 F. It will warm up a bit as the day moves forward. Good Luck!

Morning Report Sept 1/2020

Good Morning! Well it’s the first day of September here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. The sun was shinning but now clouds are overcoming us. We should see some sunshine off and on and later on in the day a few showers. Highway 522 is a touch busy with some new folks moving into our area. Yesterday my wife and I had a busy day working on our cottage to be, and will probably continue on the same today. I say probably … as you never know what a day brings your way. My theory is … you can plan the day, but you shouldn’t plan the results. Temperatures waking up were sitting at 15.5 C | 59.9 F. Yesterday we had all our windows opened up in our home letting things air out, and renew itself for winter. It’s good to do that when the weather permits. Fresh Air flow is very important with this virus that is going around. Actually it is good for all kinds of diseases. The more air flow the better things are health wise. That is why I disagree with the Powers That Be that say that a house should be airtight. Getting fresh air is better for you than saving money. With that I am off for my morning cup of coffee with my lovely wife on the front porch. Then will get to work. Take care, stay safe and do what’s right.

Today my old weather stick is saying that fishing will be at its best. I give it a 5-Star Rating out of 5 for catching a few. There should be no reason why you don’t have fish for supper tonight. As long as you go fishing, that is. LOL Winds are light coming in from the South West. The hours I gave you today are as I see them, but in reality on days like this, the fish will be biting at any time. Good Luck! Oh! And don’t forget your rain coat.
