Good Morning! It’s a great looking day here in Port Loring, Ontario. We did have a brief shower early this morning, but nothing to write home about. The temperature is pretty nice this morning, sitting at 16.6 C | 61.88 F. It will warm up as the day moves forward, and we can expect some very hot weather for the next few days. Highway 522 is still very busy with folks coming in from all over. On another note, we are eating tomatoes these days from our vegetable garden, and I have to tell you … they are sure tasty. You can’t beat organic tomatoes, right from the garden to the plate. I have been eating three or so every day, LOL. We are also enjoying our cucumbers and zucchini. My wife makes us a cucumber sandwich with miracle whip for lunch, along with fresh cut up tomatoes on the side with a piece of old 4-year-old cheddar cheese. A cup of fresh perked coffee afterwards on the front porch finishes things off. Yep, life is rough for my wife and I, LOL. But it didn’t come easy the life we are living now, we worked very hard over the years to get what we have. But all that work paid off, and now we are enjoying the remainder of our days. The thing is, we have to start taking things a bit easier, LOL. This year, my lovely wife and I have gotten more things done than the last two years running. Every year it seems we sit back in the fall wondering how we accomplished so much. Yesterday I took the day and cleaned up my old boat that I haven’t used in two years because of this virus. Got it looking pretty good now. Today I will do some repairs on the boat trailer. I made a runway, so you can walk from the front of the trailer to the back of the trailer, which makes it so much nicer for loading and unloading the boat. It also saves me from getting my feet wet. The planks I was using have seen their day, so I am going to replace them. Then I will see if it runs. I went and picked up some fresh gas yesterday before I quit for the day. Once that is all done, I think some fishing is in order. My fishing buddy Barry called me yesterday wondering if I had my boat ready. I told him I was working on it. We have some good old times out there, the two of us, and along with that we catch fish.
Fishing Times: The best time to be out there today will be 4:30 PM-6:30 PM. I give it a 2-star rating for catching a few. Not the best day, but I am thinking you should be able to have fish for supper. A later supper, that is. With that, take care and stay safe. GW
