Morning Report Oct 1/19

Well here it is October already. Man where does the time go? Seems like we just started summer. This morning here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada it is cloudy with rain. By the looks of things rain will remain with us for another couple days. Temperatures this morning are quite warm, sitting at 16 C | 60.8 F. It will warm up today with a warm front moving through our area. Then tomorrow things will cool once again. Like a roller coaster. Today I have some inside work to do as I didn’t get to it yesterday. But I did manage to get my vegetable garden all cleaned up. The only thing left now is a few tomatoes that I left laying on the ground after pulling out the plant themselves. I also have some Kale and the new row off romaine lettuce I planted a few weeks ago is coming along. If the warm weather holds we might have a few feeds from it. With that I am off for my morning cup of tea with my lovely wife.

Morning Post Sep30/2019

It’s not too bad a morning here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. The sun is shinning a wee bit with a few clouds. Temperature weren’t as cold as they were the night before sitting at 9.6 C | 49.28 F. On the good side we didn’t have anymore Frost. Later on today and into Thursday we can expect more rain and maybe even a thunderstorm tomorrow. Crazy weather that’s for sure. Today I am helping the wife clean up somethings upstairs making room for other things. Nice to get these things all done up. Seems no matter how hard one tries to eliminate clutter, more shows itself daily. But eventually we will get there. With that I am off for my morning cup of coffee and bug my lovely wife, and then I will see what I can get myself into.

Morning Report Sep 29/19

Cool morning here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. The sun is trying to make an appearance, but clouds are holding it back. Temperatures waking up were sitting at 3.4 C | 38.12 F. We actually had a frost last night which didn’t help certain vegetables in our garden. I did cover a lot of things, so we will still be eating fresh lettuce and things for a while yet. It will warm up a bit as the day moves forward. Tomorrow and into Tuesday we can expect a bit more rain but after that I think we should have some dry weather for a change. Seems we have had nothing but rain now for the past two weeks or so. But in saying that the trees and things do need the rain to help them get ready for winter. Highway 522 is quiet this morning with the only cars moving around is the locals. Not sure where they are heading with only two stores and one of them is closed on Sunday, LOL. Today I have some things to move around here in the house so that will keep me busy for most the day. With that I am off for some bacon and eggs and a fresh cup of perked coffee which I like every Saturday and Sunday. Rough life huh? GW

Sold Pine Stool

Here is a sold pine stool my wife designed for a lady, so she could get into her top kitchen cupboards. She was just a touch short. LOL. I added some leather to the centre of each step for slippage. Once made I stained it with an Early American and topped it off with three coats of Semi-gloss Urethane. Happy customer.
