Here is how I made my hearts using a scroll and hole saw. I found if I needed them to be all the exact size this worked out great.

White Pine End Table
Here is a Pine End Table, with shelf that my wife designed, and I made for a customer. I turned the legs giving it a unique flair, and my wife covered it with a white stain. Once finished, I sprayed it with a couple coats of semi-gloss lacquer. Nice piece.
Sold Pine Stool
Here is a sold pine stool my wife designed for a lady, so she could get into her top kitchen cupboards. She was just a touch short. LOL. I added some leather to the centre of each step for slippage. Once made I stained it with an Early American and topped it off with three coats of Semi-gloss Urethane. Happy customer.
Wood Crate Checker board
Here is a coffee table I made. The top is made of 1 inch (2.54 cm) thick white pine with a checker board that my wife painted on its top. We then fastened it to an old crate that the customer had from their business. Turned out nice and customer liked it.
Toy Chest
Here is a Toy Chest order my wife designed and painted. I made it out of white pine. Turned out great and customer loved it.
Wine Rack
Here is a wine rack my lovely wife designed and I made. It has a lift lid for storage with a slide for your wine glasses under the storage department. Holds 20 bottles of wine. Once made my wife painted the letters and grapes on the top. It was made of white pine. Another happy customer.
Black Walnut Butcher Block
Here is a picture of a Butcher-Block I made awhile back. The cutting block is made from a 10 inch (25.4 cm) sold piece of walnut with a knife holder on one side. I then surrounded it with Red Oak. The legs are made from white pine. Turned out great and the customer that ordered it was very happy. Hard to get thick pieces of walnut anymore.
Store Items
Here is a picture of some items we made over the years at one of our stores in Niagara. Gives you an idea of what we were making back then.
Woodworking Shop
Here is another picture of one of my old woodworking shops. I have had a few over the years.
My Old Shop
Here is a picture of my old shop I had year ago. Large door that I could set a whole lift of pine lumber in when needed. Miss them days and miss my old shop too. I have others will post them as I find them.
Pine Chest
Here is a pine chest I made awhile back. It is lined with cedar. The wood is called Zebra wood comes from Germany. I got the wood from my Brother in law Walt, many years ago. He worked at a factory that brought in items in crates. When ever he got some crates with some good-looking wood he would give me a call and ask if I wanted it. For a few years I got wood from all over the world. I sure miss them days as it is hard to find unique kinds of wood anymore. Especially from other countries.
Morning Report Sep 28/19
Cloudy wet morning here in Port Loring, Ontario Canada. It kind of looks like it will remain cloudy for most the day. We could see a wee bit of sunshine tomorrow, but then back to rain for Monday and Tuesday. Turning out to be a wet Fall for sure. Temperatures waking up were sitting at 13.5 C | 56.3 F. It will warm up a touch later on. On another note the leaves are sure changing fast and in some areas they have dropped over half. In other areas they are in their peak. Too bad we have had so much gloomy weather. What we need is lots of sunshine for them to show off all their colours. Today I am going to take it a bit easy, maybe write up a story or two. A feller has to have one day off now and then. LOL With that I am off for my morning tea with my lovely wife and will let the day unfold around me.

Morning Report Sep 27/19
Cool morning waking up here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. At the moment it is cloudy. We could see a wee bit of sunshine off and on throughout the day. Later on more rain is in the forecast which will continue on into the night. Just what we need. Temperatures were sitting at 10.2 C | 50.36 F. Once again we had to turn the oil furnace on to warm things up. Seems the older I get the more the cold bothers me. Won’t be long I will have to put on the Long Handles. LOL Thinking back my old Dad would put them on about now and not take them off till it warmed up next spring. With that I am off to bug my lovely wife, and enjoy my morning cup of tea and will see what mischief I can get into. GW

Morning Report Sep 26/19
It’s not too bad a morning here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. The sun is out, and at the time of this post temperatures were sitting at 11.2 C | 52.16 F. It will warm up some as the day progresses. We could see a shower or two later on today, tonight and into tomorrow. Let’s hope the sun stays with us, as we deserve it. Today I will finish up some painting around the place and then if the sun stays with us maybe do some front porch sittin’ and chat to my lovely wife. We keep on saying we are going to but never seem to find time. And when we do find time it is either raining, cold or too many bugs pestering us. Joys of living in the country. With that I am off for my morning cup of tea and will let the day do as it wants. GW

Morning Report Sep 25/19
Cloudy morning here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. They are calling for some showers throughout the day. It’s possible we might see some more rain tomorrow. Temperatures waking up were sitting at 14.8 C | 58.64 F. It will warm up a wee bit as the day moves forward. Yesterday I finished up one painting job in the house here only to start another. Amazing how the mind thinks. At any rate I will work on it later on as I have some shop work to do. On another note the vegetable garden is slowly coming to an end. Tomatoes are about had it with just a few yet to ripen. We are sure going to miss fresh veggies every day. I did plant some lettuce and spinach a couple weeks ago it is coming up so … if the weather stays a bit warm we might have a few feeds from it. Our Black berries are doing well this year we have had a few bowls full so far and more ripening every day. They sure are tasty and so good for you too. With that I am off for my morning cup of coffee and will see what the day has in store for us other than what we planned. GW

Morning Post Sep 24/19
For a change we are having some sunny warm weather here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. Temperatures at time of post was sitting at 15.3 C | 59.54 F. It will warm up a wee bit as the day moves forward. Today I am making some ointments using plants that we have around our home. I wouldn’t hesitate to say we have over a hundred or more that has some great health related properties. Takes a bit of doing but come winter if an ailment happens upon us … we have some ammunition you could say to combat things. After that, I will finish up some of my painting. I hate being inside on days like this. With that I am off for a cup of tea and will see what mischief I can get myself into. We might even get some front porch sittin’ in later GW

Wine Rack
Here is a wine rack I finished awhile back. Turned out nice and the best part it is being put to good use. As you can see.
Monarch Butterfly Enjoying Nature
Took a couple pictures of a Monarch Butterfly on our Sedum’s. They sure like them plants.
Home Baked Bread
I took some pictures of our homemade bread we made today. Turned out great, and will have a taste shortly.

Morning Report Sep 23/19
Another cloudy rainy day here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. Temperatures were sitting at 16.4 C | 61.52 F. It won’t warm up much more than it is now. Rain will be light throughout most the day. Wind Direction 327 deg | NNW. Tomorrow we should see some sunshine but the rest of the week showers will be with us off and on. Not so good weather for working outside these days. Let’s hope things clear up some, so we can enjoy all the colours of Fall. Today I have some more painting to do inside the house here, so that will keep me busy. Then I will see about making a loaf of bread. I have to admit I enjoy experimenting with new bread recipes. Some work some don’t. LOL But no matter, the bread I make is much healthier than store bought. Although … no bread is really that good for you as it is mostly all sugar. What can you do? Moderation I suppose is the key. With that I am off for a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. Then I will let the day unfold around us. GW
