Around Town:  Well the heat once again has been taking toll on the plants and things.  Sure a hard summer for growing things.  I am surprised though at how nice my tomatoes are.  Taste is excellent with one wanting more. Around Town. For the last day of August it is quiet around town. Business’s are slowing down somewhat which is the sign of what is to come.  Firewood is being piled high for winter with the thoughts of winter on folks minds.  Trees like pines are dropping their needles and have been for the past few weeks.  Knowing that heavy snow will be upon them soon enough.  Plants have shed most their leaves with the dry weather we been having in hopes of saving themselves for next year.  Critters are moving slow also in hopes of gaining energy and fat to hold them through the cold days which is sure to come.  Lots happening around us humans if we choose to look.  With that heading off for my morning tea and will see what the day has in store. Good Morning:  Was a sticky night last night for sleeping.  Unless you had air-conditioning.  For myself air bothers my sinus’s some but it is a lot better than sleeping on damp sheets.  The other downsize is the cost to run the darn things.  Technology today has helped in many ways, but the powers that be are holding us back with the costs to run things.  No reason for it neither.  Any ways, waking temperatures were sitting at 17.4 C | 63.32 F.  Will warm up considerably in a couple hours.

Fishing Information:  This morning the old weather stick is saying that the best times to be out there with pole in hand will be from 5:30 AM  – 8:30 AM.  Then once again from 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM.  I give it a 2 fish rating out of 5 for catching a few this morning and a 3 fish rating this afternoon.  Good Luck!

Around Town:  Wife and I made a trip to North Bay for some supplies yesterday.  Found a few good sales here and there which made it a worth while trip.  I figure any time away from things is an asset to what one needs in staying fit.  Stores were quite busy with line up’s at all check-outs. North Bay is moving ahead with new business sprouting up all over.  Good to see.  Major corporations are now finding out what we have to offer here in the north and finally becoming a major player.  With that going to have my morning tea and chat to the wife a bit. Good Morning:  Not too bad a day other than a few clouds.  Temperatures waking up were sitting at 20.1 C | 68.18 F. Will warm up even more as the day moves forward.

Forecast For Friday: Unsettled, probably improving.  Could see a shower but for most parts sunshine will prevail.  A bit humid today.

Highway Report:  Highway 522 is quiet today.  I am sure it will pick up as the tourists make their way into the area a bit later on today.  Great weather for travelling.

Bug Report:  All is well for most parts.  A few mosquitoes entering into the picture.

Good Morning:  So how is everyone doing this morning?  Good I hope.  Great looking day with temperatures waking up sitting at 16 C | 60.8 F. Will warm up.  Great weather to do anything one chooses.

Forecast For Today:  Rather unsettled clearing later with lots of sunshine.  Into tonight we could see a bit of rain and once again tomorrow morning. But sunshine will prevail for most parts.

Bug Report:  Nothing much to report in that department, things are good.

Highway Report:  Lots of cars, trucks and campers moving up and down highway 522.  Few deer and moose crossing here and there.  Travelling will be good today.  Kind of day that makes a person want to move around some.

Around Town:  Lots of folks dropping by our small store.  Reports also coming in that most resorts are doing well this month.    I am happy about that as the owners work hard in keeping them going.  On another note been eating zucchini every day.  I like it when they aren’t to large. My wife likes to cut the zucchini in half lengthways. Using a spoon or a paring knife, scoop out some of the flesh, then fill the zucchini shells with the  mixture of extra ground beef mixed with fresh grated garlic and tomato sauce.  Some bread crumbs on the top make for a great look.  Cover with a 3 year old cheddar cheese. Place on the prepared tray, drizzle with a little melted butter and bake for 30–35 minutes or until golden brown and ground beef is cooked. Quite tasty let me tell you.
