A test that can detect whether a person was exposed to COVID-19 and whether or not they still have virus-fighting antibodies in their system has been approved by Health Canada after a “priority scientific review.”
Called DiaSorin LIAISON, the test was approved for use in the U.S. in April. It is the first of its kind to be approved in Canada and is a significant step in efforts to understand immunity against the virus. Another 18 tests have been approved by the agency, but those tests simply identify infection.
The new test identifies antibodies, which are developed to fight disease and can linger after infection, likely providing some form of immunity, though it’s uncertain for how long.
This is good news for sure, as it will help immensely, as now we can tell who has had it or who hasn’t. Slowly we are working through things.

Hi folks. How you all doing? I hope you are coping with what is happening throughout the world today. We just have to hang in there folks. This time round the only help we have is us as a whole., and we can beat this thing. Things will work out. Just need to be patient. On another note, I took down the Podcast on Facebook relating to the Coronavirus, as I have found that there is just too many on there today wanting to do more harm than good.
