Good Morning! It’s a cloudy cold morning here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. The temperature getting out of bed was sitting at -4.3 C | 24.26 F. We should see a wee bit of sunshine off and on throughout the day. It will remain cold till Tuesday and then things will start to warm back up above the freezing mark. Which will get rid of some more snow. We lost over half of it, but there is still lots to go. In the bushes though, it is all but gone. With the trees moving their sap up to the branches it causes a warming trend, which in turn starts the snow to melt. Mother nature is amazing. It is also very windy this morning with a north wind which makes it feel a lot colder than it really is. Highway 522 is bare and dry this morning, so travelling will be good. But it is best to stay home unless you have to go out with this virus among us. And lately I see a lot of folks from out of town roaming around. Not a good thing. With that I am off for my morning bowl of cereal and will then get to work on a podcast I have on the go. Take care and stay safe.

Good Morning!. It’s another sunny day here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. The sun sure makes it feel nice when outside. The air is cool though, and we did have a wee bit of ice on the creek that runs behind my house. The temperature was sitting at -13.6 C | 7.52 F which will rise as the day progresses. We should see the sun off and on throughout most of the day. I hope so, as I have some outside work to get done. Will tell you about that when all said and done. The outside work is kind of a treat for my wife and I. Actually waited 17 years for it. LOL Anyways will let you in on it later. Highway 522 is bare and dry this morning which will make travelling good. The snow is about half gone. With that I am off for a bowl of cereal with my lovely wife and will then get to work. And don’t forget that the clocks (in most of Canada) will go forward an hour at 2 a.m. Sunday Not that I am going to get up at that time to change them LOL I will wait till when I usually get up to do that. Good Morning! It’s kind of a cloudy day here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. It is windy too, but the temperature is really nice, sitting at 11.9 C | 53.42 F, Yesterday we lost a lot of our snow, and we will continue on that trend for most of the day. And if we are real lucky, we should see a wee bit of sunshine. Which will get rid of more of our snow. Then things will cool down some for the next 4 days. After that … things will warm back up to near norms for this time of year. Highway 522 is bare and wet this morning which will make travelling good. My lovely wife and I went to town yesterday, to pick up our groceries that we order online. Doing it that way we don’t have to enter any stores, and take a chance on catching the virus. Truth be told … we will continue on doing this after this virus is over with, as it sure makes things a lot easier … and the best part is we save a lot of money. Well … we still spend a lot as right now groceries are an outrageous price. They have never been so high. But I guess it is the price, of living these days. While there we visited our son in his apartment parking lot, from a distance, ate our lunch in our car watching the people putting their lives at risk, going in and out of stores. We then had our coffee and came on home chatting to our sons on the phone along the way. What could be better than that? Not much in my books. With that … I am off for my morning bowl of cereal with my lovely wife, and will then see what the day has in store. Stay safe, as this virus is edging it’s way to getting a lot worse right at the moment. Especially these new variants.

Good Morning! It’s a cloudy morning here in Port Loring Ontario. The temperature rolling out of bed was sitting at 2.9 C | 37.22 F. It will warm up a lot more as the day progresses. I don’t think we will see much sun today, but you never know, it might sneak through these clouds off and on. Highway 522 is bare and dry this morning. We had no snow overnight. The good news is we did lose a lot of our snow yesterday, and that trend will continue for the next two weeks. So I am thinking within a week most of our snow will have left us for another year. Which is okay by me. On another note I didn’t do too much yesterday, just took things easy and stayed inside. I will probably do much of the same today. With that, take care and stay safe. Just because the vaccines are coming our way, is no reason to let down our defences.

Good Morning! For a change we are having some sunshine here in Port Loring, Ontario this morning. The temperature at the time of this post was a touch cool sitting at -2.9 C | 26.78 F. But it is about to warm up substantially in an hour or so. Which will sure be nice. I have to admit my wife and I are looking forward to it. Highway 522 is bare and almost dry this morning with no snow overnight. The snow we do have has been melting in spite of the cold nights, as you can see the snow dropping every day. It melts from underneath and around the trees at first, then when it warms up it really gets going. Today and tomorrow should get rid of a pile, and if we get some warm rain, that will help even more. Yesterday I took it easy and will do the same again today. I guess my old body needs a rest, or so it feels. I think I will work on another podcast that I have in the works. I will see how things are going in a bit. With that I am off for my morning bowl of cereal with my lovely wife, and will then see what the day has in store. Life’s a mystery. Take care and stay safe. GW
