Good Morning.  Well not to cold out there this morning.  Temperatures waking up were sitting at 1.5 C | 34.7 F.  Will warm up a few more degrees before noon.  Snow is slowly melting with about four inches left on the ground.

Forecast For Today:  Stormy, much rain off and on throughout the day.

Ice Fishing Times:  Well here we go for another season of ice fishing.  Hunting season is behind us in the hopes of meat in the freezer and memories being made..  That is what it is all about.  This morning along with gathered data the old weather stick is saying that the best time to be out there fishing will be from 8:00 AM – 10:30 AM.  Then once again from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.  I give it a 2 fish rating out of 5 for catching a few.  Winds this morning are coming in from the East South East.  Not the greatest day for fishing to start things off. but then….the lakes aren’t hard enough yet to be out on.  Won’t be long though.

Information:  Quiet around town,  Hardly a car moving up and down Highway 522..  Still earl though and I suspect things will pick up in a couple hours or so.  The Highway is bare and wet throughout. We are counting the days now till Christmas, being only 9 days away.  For most this is the busiest time of the year. For some it is the most relaxing time of year.  For us my wife and I,  we are somewhat in the middle.  In saying that though we are enjoying every hour of every day.  Feeling good, mind is right on track, can’t get much better than that.

On another note my son Karl bought a new 2014 Ford Edge last week from Mark Lyon’s at Stock Fish Ford.  Picks it up today.  Have to say it is sure one nice Christmas present to himself.  He deserves it as he is a really hard working fellow.  Reason I mentioned it, is that his old car is up for sale a 2002 Cavalier, only got around 80 some thousand Kilometres on it. It does need a muffler and the brakes should be looked at.  Body is good and got one year old snow tires on it all way round.  Runs good and he has kept the oil changed in it since he owned it.  If anyone is interested in it you can get in touch with me at [email protected]

Good Morning:  Well cloudy day out there this morning. Trees are covered with ice from last nights appearance of misty freezing rain.  Looks nice though.  Temperatures waking up were sitting at  -0.6 C | 30.92 F will warm up another 8 degrees as the day moves forward.  So should see some more melting.

Forecast For Today: Snow or Sleet off and on throughout the day, very unsettled.

Hunting Times: Well last day of hunting here in Port Loring.  Another year behind us.  Hope all got some meat in the freezer along with having a great time.  I know I did.  For the last day the old weather stick is saying that the best times to be out there will be from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.  Then one last time from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.  I give it a 4 Buck Rating out of 5 for seeing a few. Information:  Highway 522 is Bare and wet through out.  Very Quiet around town these days.  Cities of course are quite busy with the Christmas Shopping, which is understandable.  Man does time fly.   Hard to believe how fast the days are passing us by.  Thinking about that March is only two months away, amazing.  Great to be waking up each and every morning feeling good.  With that in mind, enjoy your day and  just let it happen. I have found for myself I should not be trying to make it into something it isn’t or shouldn’t be. Good Morning:  Well a bit foggy this morning.  Temperatures have warmed up through the night an is sitting at -1.8 C | 28.76 F.  It will warm up over the freezing mark a bit later on and stay there for the next three or four days.  So some snow will be left behind I suspect.

Hunting Times:  This morning the old weather stick is saying the best times to be out there will be from 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM and then again later on from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.  I give it a 3 Buck Rating out of 5 for seeing a few.  Winds are calm and will remain calm most the day.

Good Morning:  Well storm is over if you could call it a storm.  Here in Port Loring we have more than what we had yesterday on a normal day.  But I did hear other parts of the country had it pretty bad. In North Bay my son was greeted by two feet of snow drifted up against his car leaving from work.  He said he was really happy to get home as the roads were pretty bad.  Temperatures waking up weren’t to bad sitting at -7.7 C | 18.14 F.

Forecast For Today: Snowy early, improving as the day moves forward.

Information:  All is quiet around town.  Not much happening in places of business these days here in our town.  The cities are booming with sales this year I hear.  Even the Ford Dealer in North Bay is doing quite well.  But then what do you expect with being on top of the list for customer satisfaction. Especially with their pick up trucks.  Their Edges are selling quite well also.  Once you drive an Edge your hooked. For Proof just try one.
