Tornado warning: North Bay – West Nipissing Issued at 6:05 PM EDT THURSDAY 20 AUGUST 2009

RADAR SHOWS A STORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO NEAR RESOLUTE LAKE. THIS STORM IS MOVING NORTHEASTWARD AT 50 KM/H. THIS IS A WARNING THAT SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH TORNADOES ARE IMMINENT OR OCCURRING IN THESE REGIONS. MONITOR WEATHER CONDITIONS. TAKE IMMEDIATE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS.

Beauty Of A Day Here In Port Loring Ontario

Well real beauty of a day here this Sunday. Customers are rolling in, so been quite busy, which is a good thing. Our Native American Flutes have been selling real well this year, had to actually get to making some more, as sold over half of them and we still got half the summer to go yet. Also my books are a hot item for us this year and sold more than I can count. So ya, things are rolling along here today. Might be as some call it a recession out there, but for us here at our home and small store you would never know it. Seems folks are drawn to our place, and I believe it’s the old earth that we have to thank for that. Nature is what it is all about up in this neck of the wood, but then again that is what us humans are, just some have had their minds swayed into other beliefs and things. Well guess go and enjoy a coffee, talk soon.

Weather Tip

Thought I would put up a chart that takes a look at our temperature here in Port Loring Ontario. The reason for doing this, is so that folks that enjoy the outdoors, will be able to tell what the lows will be at night. What you do is, look at the chart. The Green Line shows the Dew Point Temperature. So if you look at that Line the green one, and see what it says for around noon, well… that is what the low will be for the night. Easy way for you to predict the weather and know when an upcoming frost will be arriving, but lets hope we don’t see that for awhile. But it will let you know if you can turn off that air conditioner that is costing you your hard earned dollars. Also for more on our weather just scroll down and on the left hand side you will see a Link that will take you to my weather station here in Port Loring. No Charge. Thought I would share. With this chart it shows the lows tonight will be around 50 or so. Take a look.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH: North Bay – West Nipissing Issued at 11:59 AM EDT TUESDAY 28 JULY 2009

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON. THIS IS AN ALERT TO THE POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. MONITOR WEATHER CONDITIONS..LISTEN FOR UPDATED STATEMENTS. IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES TAKE IMMEDIATE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS.

WEATHER CONDITIONS IN THESE REGIONS ARE CONDUCIVE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON. THE MAIN THREAT FROM THESE STORMS WILL BE INTENSE LIGHTNING TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS. THIS THREAT WILL REMAIN INTO THE EARLY EVENING.
