Good Morning Folks. I hope everyone is well starting of this cloudy day here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. We should see a wee bit of sunshine as the day progresses. Temperatures waking up were sitting at 2.9 C | 37.22 F and will warm up as the day moves forward. Which will make things just that much better. 90% of our snow has left us with a bit remaining in certain spots here and there. The grass is starting to green up some and I suspect the leaves will soon be making their appearance which we all are in need of right now. Especially in the city areas where this virus is increasing so fast. The thing is … a lot of folks aren’t listening, and not staying put or away from others. My wife and I was very disappointed to see when we picked up some groceries in North Bay of all the people in the grocery stores . Our son gets it for us and we pick it up in the parking lot where he lives. We don’t hug each other, or get close to each other. We call him from our car on the phone, he brings our groceries out to us, loads it in the back and we leave, and chat to him on the phone on the way home. The ones that aren’t taking this serious has to smarten up and do it quickly before it is too late if it isn’t already. I don’t understand some peoples way of thinking. The stores at any given time are crowded with them going about their business like nothing is going on in the world. The thing is, it is going to get worse, but it will get even more worse, if people keep doing what they are doing. It might look like in certain areas that the virus isn’t bad, but that is no reason to be mingling with others or crowding the stores. This virus is spread from person to person … we all know that, or should know that. Again, I don’t understand some peoples thinking. The thing is … they aren’t just putting their own life in danger, they are putting others. For every one that gets it it’s quite possible two more will also get it and it keeps on increasing. There are also many more that have it walking around among us that don’t even know they have it, which should make folks take more precautions, but some are not. On another note, I personally believe that face masks will help things a lot if worn properly, taking the necessary precautions of how to dispose of them and move them around on your face after being in public. Mainly it will be making sure after you touch the masks not to touch your face which you should be doing now. At any rate, that is about all I have to say here this morning, I have said my peace. I hope that more people will start to take this serious. As I say your life depends on it, as well as others. We have the ability to do this, so simply put, do it. Sheesh. Have a great day. GW

Good Morning. I hope everyone is well this morning. Looking outside waking up the sun was shinning which makes things nice. It is cool out there though this morning with temperatures sitting at -3.2 C | 26.24 F It will warm up as the day progresses though, so it should be a great day for everyone in our area to get outside for some fresh air. Actually the next two weeks looks like we are in for some really nice weather. Lots of sunshine and warm temperatures. Highway 522 is bare and dry this morning so getting around will be good. It is quiet though with everyone trying hard to stay put. Which is a good thing. Especially now when this virus is escalating. The most important things you can do is distance from others, practice not touching your face, eat healthy, get fresh air, and some exercise. And keep your home clean. I am sure you all know that. Good Morning. Hope you are handling things okay these days. Ruth and I are doing okay. Lots to keep us busy around the house here. Which is a good thing. As soon as it warms up more we both will be outside more often. Can’t wait. Temperatures today were sitting at 3.7 C | 38.66 F. It will warm a bit more as the day progresses. Tomorrow will remain mostly cloudy but on Wednesday things will change for the best with warm temperatures along with sunshine. Highway 522 is bare an dry this morning so for that must travelling will be good. But if you don’t have to go anywhere staying home is the best option. Protects you and others. I am also happy to hear the Powers That Be, are telling the cottagers and those that have cottages to stay home for awhile this summer until we see what this virus is going to do. Will they do it? Good Question. Time will tell. Today I have a few things to do around my shop here, so will get into that in a bit. Good Morning. Not the greatest morning here in Port Loring Ontario, weather wise. At the moment we are under heavy clouds with rain. By the looks of things it will remain with us for most the day and into tomorrow. Wednesday things should clear out of our area, followed by sunshine and warmer temperatures. The good part about the rain is that my wife and I got over half of our lawn and gardens cleaned up and raked, and looking out now, the grass is starting to turn green. Along with that the rain will wash away all the not so good stuff. Highway 522 is bare and wet this morning which won’t make travelling that good. But we should be staying home if at all possible anyways. Temperatures are staying around the 4.4 C | 39.92 F mark at the moment. It could get a bit warmer as the day progresses. For my lovely wife and I we are staying put, and being it is raining we will stay inside today. My wife has some paintings she is working on, and I have some things to do here on my Computer. Good Morning Folks. I hope you are coping well and staying healthy with what is going on. So far my wife and I are okay, we have been staying home not going anywhere. We have though been doing some outside clean ups, raking and things. It keeps us busy, gets us some much needed exercise, and most importantly keeps our minds on positive things. On another note, we did have a great day yesterday with lots of sunshine. Waking up here this morning though, it is cloudy at the moment, with temperatures sitting at -0.9 C | 30.38 F. We were suppose to get some sunshine today with some nice warm temperatures, but things have changed. As of now the clouds will remain with us most of the day, and then tonight and for the next two days we will get some real heavy rain. There are warnings up across our area for downpours starting tonight. So … just what we need. But it will get the trees and things to growing and once the leaves start to show themselves I think it will do a lot in the way of helping us humans with this virus. Why? Well … simply put the trees and things give off oxygen, which we humans need to survive. Fresh Oxygen helps our lungs, and well … this Virus does us the most damage by entering our lungs. So I am thinking, once the trees, flowers and things become more apparent, they will help us a lot. One can only hope. Highway 522 is bare and dry this morning but that will change later on with heavy rain entering into the picture. Today I will work away here on another Podcast, and then maybe do some work in my shop. I have some equipment that needs attention. Good morning. Hope everyone had a good rest overnight. Looking outside things are shaping up quite nicely. The sun is shinning and will continue to do for most the day. Temperatures waking up were sitting at -3.6 C | 25.52 F a touch cool, but things will warm up nicely as the morning progresses. There should be no reason not to get outside and enjoy some fresh air. I actually put out our lawn-chairs a couple days ago. With temperatures warming up I will do some work on some equipment I have, seeing if I can get some things working that has some issues. A feller has to be a jack of all trades to make it in this world today it seems. But that is the way I was raised, learning new things daily. Still do today too. Like dealing with this Virus that is going around. Not an easy chore neither, but I am sure we will over come it as time moves by. That is if everyone does their part. So how you all doing this Morning? I am hoping you are all well. Not the greatest looking morning, with the clouds and rain. But the good thing is, the rain will clean things up a bit and melt most of the snow that is left. Temperatures waking up were sitting at 2.7 C | 36.86 F. It will warm up a touch more as the day progresses and tomorrow we should be back into sunshine and quite warm. Highway 522 is bare and wet, with no snow overnight. I am thinking we should be done with the snow now. But you never know as temperatures do drop below the freezing mark some nights. On the good side of the coin my wife and I have done a bit of front porch sittin’ in the sunshine for the past two days for an hour or so. Sure is nice to be doing that. Today since it is raining I will stay in and work on a few things I have to do around the house here. On another note relating to this virus I am happy to hear that the government is making it mandatory for folks to be quarantined for two weeks after returning home from holidays or where ever. Actually they should have done that sooner, but I do understand their thinking. Some folks just don’t learn or care, and it’s a shame. The only other thing I am concerned about is that the money that is being given out to folks and business’s. I think we should be only giving it to those that really need it to survive. The reason for this is, that we can’t keep it up and if we keep giving to much away, there won’t be nothing left for any one. . Anyways food for thought. Good Morning. Cool frosty morning here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. But the good thing is we didn’t have anymore snow overnight. It will warm up though, as the day progresses, and some sunshine should show itself shortly. Speaking of sunshine it would be a good idea if you have some rugs that need to be disinfected to hang them in the sunshine for a few hours now and then, as the Ultraviolet Rays will kill a lot of things that aren’t good for us humans, including this Virus that is going around. It would also be a great thing to hang out your pillows and comforters too. Just a suggestion. Sheesh you have to be so careful these days LOL. Good morning. I hope you are all well. It’s a cloudy day here in Port Loring Ontario. Temperatures are a bit warmer this morning sitting at -1.6 C | 29.12 F. It will warm as the day moves forward, and we should see some warm sunshine later on. That I am looking forward too. Anything sun related at this time is good. Why? Well the ultraviolet rays kills the virus itself if it is exposed. The issue is, that it hides inside our bodies where it can’t be seen. But, I figure any help is better than nothing and Nature has a way of doing things. So if it is nice in your area, try and get outside for an hour or so, and of course stay away from your neighbours and friends. You can still talk but from a distance. Highway 522 is bare and dry this morning and we didn’t have any snow overnight. Travelling will be good in one sense, but in another you should stay home if possible. Myself I have another Podcast on the go, so that will take up most my day. The thing my wife and I are doing is staying in touch with our family and friends, staying home, and only watching what is going on in the world once a day. We found too much info isn’t the best especially from those that try to twist things to their liking. A lot I found make things worse and put fear into a person. But hey! you can do as you like. My wife an I are taking it easy trying to stay put for awhile. Once it warms up some it will be nice to get outside and work in my shop and gardens. Help take our minds off what is going on. I think what folks has to do now, is look after yourself of course and take the precautions necessary. But right now I feel it would be best to start to do other things than watch the news all day. Good morning. It’s another great looking day. The sun is shinning, what could be better than that? Well … lots actually. But we have to take what is handed to us and then deal with it. Highway 522 is bare and dry this morning which will make travelling good, but as we all know best to stay home for now. We didn’t have any snow overnight, but it is quite cool with temperatures sitting at -8.6 C | 16.52 F. It will warm up a lot as the day moves forward. Looking out at the Highway things are very quiet, with folks settled in at their homes. Which is a good thing. There are a lot of places that have closed their doors, like churches and some stores around our area. My wife will be doing up a sign saying we will be closing temporarily with what is going on. But it is for the best, and this is our small way of helping out, as we for sure don’t want to catch it, or spread it to others. On another note, I am working away on another Podcast show for Friday morning, which will keep me busy for most the day. I want to get a few ahead so I can enjoy our nice warm weather and sunshine, when it arrives. With that I am off for a bite to eat. We kind of slept in a bit late this morning. Good morning. Well other than it being darn cold outside this morning with temperatures sitting at -15.4 C | 4.28 F, its a pretty good looking day here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. We did have some snow overnight, about one inch. Highway 522 is bare for most parts, but there are some icy sections throughout. It should melt as soon as this sun starts to throw off some warmth. It will warm up as the day moves forward and even warmer tomorrow with more sunshine. That’s what I like to see. My son down in St. Catharines said it was +17 down there, which is nice for sure. He opened all his windows and aired out the house as they have been having so much sickness in their area. So on another note … how are you folks doing? I hope you are taking the precautions that is necessary to keep you and your family safe. Distancing is one of the best. In some areas it doesn’t seem necessary but it is. We all have to do our part…. With that I am off for my morning cup of coffee and will see what mischief I can get myself into. I do have a new Podcast almost ready, so maybe will finish that. If you do travel make sure you practice social distancing. Every bit helps in slowing this down. But I suspect you all know that by now. Yesterday my wife and I took advantage of the nice weather and got outside for most the day. We cleaned the shop and did a bit of yard work. It felt good being outside in the fresh air. Good morning. Well looking out the window here in Port Loring, Ontario this morning it looks as if we are back into winter. Everything is white. Trees are covered and more coming down. Kind of a good day to stay inside. Highway 522 is partially covered with an icy mix. The plow just went by which will make things a bit easier for travelling if it is absolutely necessary. But as I keep on saying distancing yourself from folks right now is very important. It’s the only way we can slow this virus down a bit. If we slow it down our health personal will then be able to keep up and help those that need help. Temperatures did cool down through the night and getting out of bed they were sitting at 0.1 C | 32.18 F. It will warm up a wee bit as the day progresses. With that I am off to light my wood furnace, trying to save a bit of oil in case of an emergency. I have wood but not to much oil left. Oh one last thing. The best thing you can do is restrict yourself from any groups of people and stay calm, and take sanitary protections in and around your home. We have to remember we aren’t going to be able to stop this virus, it will have to run its course, but we do have the ability to slow it down, so that our medical profession has the means to help those that really need it. The window of opportunity is closing, so it is really up to us. The only real treatment is us. Other than that it is another cloudy day here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada.
