Morning Chat March 5/2021

Good Morning! It’s a sunny but very cold morning here in Port Loring, Ontario. The sun though does make it feel a lot nicer than it is. Crawling out of my warm bed the temperature was sitting at -18.8 C | -1.84 F. The good news is, the deep freeze will be over in 3 days. Starting Monday the temperatures will be well above freezing and stay that way for over 10 days. Which I suspect will get rid of a lot or most of our snow. We could see temperatures as high as 10C/50F, next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Highway 522 is bare and dry this morning with no snow overnight. On another note yesterday I didn’t do too much in the shop, or here on my computer. I just kind of took things easy, which I suspect I will do the same today. I might work on a Podcast I have in mind. Oh! That reminds me I had better upload another show as it is Friday. As my boys would say … TGF. Thank goodness it’s Friday. LOL Computer lingo for the younger species. With that I am off for a bowl of cereal with my lovely wife and will then see what the day has in store. Take care and stay safe. I see a lot of folks not wearing their mask these days. Not sure where their minds are at. Such is life. GW

Morning Chat March 4/2021

Good Morning! It’s another very cold morning here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. The temperature waking up was sitting at -16.1 C | 3.02 F. The kind of weather that makes a feller feel like going back to his warm bed. Highway 522 is bare and dry this morning, but there are a few icy sections here and there. So care should be taken if out and about. But you all know that right? LOL On another note I didn’t do too much yesterday, other than feed the wood stove in my shop and our wood furnace here in the house. Today I am planing on working on another podcast. But we will see how that goes. I need to be in the right frame of mind, and lately I haven’t been. With that I am off for my bowl of oatmeal that my lovely wife fixed up for me, and will then see what the day has in store. Take care and stay safe. The best protection is looking after ourselves. A bit of good news is … the sun just came out. GW

Morning Chat March 3/2021

Good Morning! It’s another cloudy morning here in Port Loring, Ontario. But the good news is, it isn’t as cold as it was yesterday. The temperature waking up was sitting at -0.4 C | 31.28 F. We should see some more melting of our snow today. Highway 522 is almost bare this morning, but there are some icy sections here and there. On the sunshine end of things we should see some today for a change, which would be nice. Other than that not much happening these days. Knowing that I am off for a bowl of cereal with my lovely wife and will then see what the day has in store. Take care and stay safe.
