Port Loring Ontario..Information, Weather, Fishing Times & Tips

Good Morning:  Well nice looking day out there waking up.  Went for a walk go loosen up the old bones a bit and set some things out on the wagon out front to draw ones mind towards our store.  Put up our open sign and now enjoying a tea.  Temperatures waking up were sitting at…13.8 C | 56.84 F.  Will warm up quite a bit as the day marches forward.  Great looking long weekend for sure.

Forecast For Today:   Fairly fine, improving.

Fishing Times & Tips:   This morning the old weather stick is saying that the best time to be out there will be from…7:30 AM – 9:30 AM.  Then again from 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM.  I give it a 3 fish rating out of 4 for catching them.  Item of choice today would be… a Classic Vibrax Plated Spinner.  Come in assorted colours. Myself I like Gold.  I have one that weighs 3/8  of an ounce and is marked a number 4 hook size.  I have had some pretty good luck using it.  Usually I just toss it out on its’ own, no weight added towards some lilly pads and draw in slowly.  Also very good for trolling with a small piece of bait attached to it.  Give it a try and if that don’t work use a live minnow.  Remember to keep your minnows in a good bait bucket that can hang over the edge of your boat, which in turn keeps them alive and well.  Dead minnows catch nothing for most parts. Around Town:  My lovely wife went for a walk this morning and took a picture of our boat dock with our new sign.  Also took one of Wilson Lake really nice view to say the least.  So thought I would let you take a look.  Lake seems to mesmerise a person beckoning them or her to come for a visit.  Click Pictures To Enlarge.
