Port Loring Ontario, Weather, Fishing Times & Information

Good Morning:   Well really nice looking day out there once again this morning. Temperatures dropped last night so that one could put a sheet over themselves.  Slept like  log.  Waking up temperatures were sitting at…14.9 C | 58.82 F.  Will warm up considerably as the day moves ahead.

Forecast For Today: Fairly fine, improving even more given some time.

Bug Report: No activity of any kind in and around our area other than a few mosquitoes and deerflies if out in the bush.

Fishing Times: This morning after putting things together the old weather stick is saying that the best time to be out there will be from..9:00 AM – 11:45 AM.  Then once again from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM.  I give it a 3 fish rating out of 4 for catching them.  Things are improving for sure.  Today I recommend live bait, be it minnows, worms or leeches.  All three will give the advantage over lures today.  Let line down to bottom and raise up about a half a foot.  Nothing more to do now than to sit, relax and take in what nature has to offer till the big one hits.  Good Luck.

Around Town:  Lots of cars moving up and down Highway 522 yesterday.  So in reality that is a good sign that a new crowd of tourist have arrived over the weekend.  I expect a busy week for our stores here in Port Loring.  My wife drove a good friend to North Bay yesterday that wasn’t feeling well, hopefully on the mend now.  She said the stores were really busy there with check out lines quite long.  I suspect they will be for the next few weeks, with folks getting the young ones outfitted for school, as it opens back up next week.  So my friends, enjoy that sunshine and warm weather and don’t forget about the Cornfest, which will start this coming weekend.  Flyer is on the previous post for those that would like to see all that is happening.

In Closing, I Would Like To Wish You Well.
