Weather, News & Hunting Times For Port Loring Ontario Canada

Good Morning:    Well snowy day here in Port Loring Ontario.  Had around six inches yesterday and through the night. Came down quite hard all day yesterday actually.  Waking up temperatures this morning were sitting at…-2.8 C | 26.96 F.

Forecast For Today:  Stormy with more snow. Colder temperatures will also move into our area later on tonight and into tonight.  So an extra blanket might be in order for tonight.

Hunting Times;  Well rifle season is done with here in Port Loring for this year. Bow season now reopens today for a month.  So for those that are into Bow Hunting here are the times to be out there.  This morning things are staying that the best times will be from 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM then once again a bit later from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM.  I give it a 4 Buck Rating out of 5 for seeing a few.  Winds this morning are calm coming in from the West South West.  They will pick up to around 6 MPH a bit later on this afternoon.

Around Town:  Highway 522 is snow covered for most parts from Highway 69 straight through to Highway 11.  Also some icy sections throughout.  So care should be definitely taken if out and about today.  The Snowploughs  have been out and things should improve in a bit once the salt has a chance to do its job.  With Christmas edging in on us folks minds I suspect are on what they are going to buy their loved ones and friends.  Even last week when we were in North Bay the stores were packed and I suspect every week from here on in will be even that much busier.  Myself I love the hustle and bustle, just something about it that brings into me the spirit of what lies ahead.  My wife and I make a point of just walking through the malls listening to music and what folks are saying on their venturing into the realms of Christmas.  Try it sometime, don’t need to buy anything, just take in what comes your way.  So my friends, enjoy your day, stay warm an safe.  You can reach me George Walters at:    [email protected]
