What’s Happening In & Around Port Loring, Ontario, Canada on Jan 7/2023

Good Morning!

It’s a cold morning here in Port Loring. Our temperature dropped through the night, with it sitting at -12.1 C | 10.22 F. It looks as if we are now heading into winter. But the real cold will be short-lived, as within three or four days things will once again warm up to a touch above the freezing mark. I am thinking that the real, real cold weather, if you can call it that, won’t make and appearance till around the end of the month. But the way I look at it, every day of warmer weather brings us closer to spring. As here we are now heading on into the middle of January and things weather wise so far hasn’t been a real concern. And as I said in other posts, we are saving on the heating bill. I kind of think Mother Nature is looking after us old seniors, at least more than our Powers That Be are doing at the moment. I kind of think, that to them, us old seniors are a burden, a problem that they wished they could do away with. The thing is they will be old some day too. The only difference between them and us, is they don’t have to ever worry about their heating bill or ??? They are set for life, thanks to the working man, or woman. But in saying all this, things have a way of working out. They will get their just rewards, you can be sure of that.

On another note, I have been working on a new platform for making my podcasts for the past few days with the help of my son Karl. He installed a new program that will help me out a lot. I wouldn’t be able to do them without his help, that’s for sure. I am set up now, so today I will start putting a few together. Furthermore, I enjoy doing them if things are working. And in doing so, it keeps my mind on the good things in life, like giving folks a bit of enjoyment. We all can use it these days, that’s for sure.

With that I am off for my morning breakfast that my lovely wife is making for me and will then see what the day has in store, other than what I have planned. I never know. Take care and stay safe.

In Closing I Would Like To Wish You Well!
