George’ Daily Post Nov. 16

Good Morning:  Well fine looking Monday morning here in Port Loring Ontario.  Sun is a shinning with temperatures sitting at 6.4 C | 43.52 F.  Will see lots of sunshine today with a few clouds thrown in for good measure.

Pain Related To Weather: Today the weather will help those dealing with aches and pains.  (Rheumatism)  One word that says all.

Hunting Information: Rifle season for deer has passed for another year.  Bow season is now replacing it.  Times to be out there will be from 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM.  Then a bit later on from 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM.  Should be a good day for hunting.  I give it a 4 Buck rating out of 5 for seeing a few.  Good Luck an stay safe.

Snow Report: None to report, too warm.

Highway Report:  Highway 522 is bare and dry throughout.  Travelling will be good today.  Great day to get away.

Around Town:  All is quiet these days.  Myself I been working on a few inside items along with entertaining family.  Thinking today I will find a nice place out of the wind and soak up some of that sunshine.  Great for what ails ya.  With that heading off for my morning tea.  Turmeric is my choice this morning.  Helps with all kinds of things.  Enjoy your day.

Pain Related To Weather: Today the weather will be quite beneficial to those that have some body aches and pains.  Great day to get outside and soak up some sunshine.  Do that and no Flu shot needed.

Hunting Times:  Today hunting will be quite good.  I give it a 5 our of 5 rating for seeing a few.  Times to be out there will be from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM.  Then once again a bit later on from 2:00 PM – 7:30 PM.  Last day of rifle season.  Good Luck!

Snow Report:  Had a bit of snow yesterday but melted through the night with temperatures rising.

Highway Report:  Highway 522 is bare and dry throughout and travelling will be good today.  Great day to head off to town or where ever.

Around Town:  For myself I am taking things easy these days.  With hunting behind me the old mind now resides on other things.  Like planting my garlic for next summer.  I also planted some tulips and mums I had kicking around.  Will see how they make out come spring.  Amazing really how fast time goes by.  Christmas isn’t far off.   With that will head on off for my morning tea.  Orange pekoe this morning with a touch of turmeric.  Good for what ails you along with a nice taste.  That is if you like turmeric. Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Good Morning:  Well cold Saturday morning here in Port Loring Ontario.  Temperatures waking up were sitting at -4.7 C | 23.54 F.  Will warm up a wee bit as the day moves forward.

Snow Report:  Had our first bit of snow for the season last night.  No accumulations occurred.  But it is a sign of what’s to come.

Pain Related To Weather:  Today the weather will neither help nor hinder anyone.  Care should be taken if out and about.

Hunting Information:  Well deer season with rifles is about done for another year.  Bow season though will pick up where things left off.  It runs from  Nov. 16 to Dec. 15.  Going to try my best to be out there for a few days.  Today the old weather stick is saying that the best times to be out there will be from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM.  Then again a bit later from 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM.  I give it a 4 Buck rating out of 5 for seeing a few.  The rest is up to you.  Good Luck and stay warm.

Around Town:  Not too much happening in and around our small community this morning.   Hardly a car or truck moving up or down the highway.  Thinking folks are sleeping in a touch these days.  Some of course are out in the bush but for most parts folks are taking things easy.  Myself I will be relaxing today, got some inside work to do and will let the day unfold around me.  Enjoy your day.

George’s Daily Post November 12

Good Morning:  Well rainy day here in Port Loring Ontario. Temperatures waking up were sitting at 6.2 C | 43.16 F.  Today will be somewhat stormy, much rain.

Pain Related To Weather:  Today the weather can cause lots of problems for those with joint or body pain.  (Rheumatism) Care should be taken.

Hunting Times: If it wasn’t for the rain it would be a pretty good day for hunting. I give it a 4 out of 5 rating for seeing a few. The old weather stick is saying that the best times to be out there will be from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM. Then a bit later on from 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM. Good Luck!

Snow Report:  Nothing so far this year.

Around Town:  Here in Port Loring things are quiet.  Around North Bay is another story.  Took a drive there yesterday with my lovely wife and stores were very busy.  Thinking everyone in Port Loring was there shopping.  Good to see as it assures me folks are not just sitting around.  Also pays to spread the money around somewhat.  We had a great day, visited out son Karl, went for lunch at East Side Mario’s which by the way was quite nice.  Food was excellent and waitress’s couldn’t be nicer.  Later on went to Twiggs Coffee Roasters for a milk shake.  If your in town give it a try as there isn’t a better milk shake to be found anywhere. Of course their coffee is great too.  So with that heading off for my morning tea and will see what the day brings my way.  Great to be able to sit back and do what ever one wants.  Enjoy your day and stay safe if out roaming around in the bush.  Lots of hunters out there, with guns.  That should tell you something.
