Acid Drugs & What They Do

For over  twenty five years the doctors of today have said I need to be taking acid drugs like Prevacid.   I started taking tagamet years ago then changing as time went by.  Thing is I never got better, only worse.  Then one day last fall I came upon a remedy from an old native friend of mine and decided to try it. Well low and behold I got better and I am now not on any medicine or should say prescription drugs at all.  I did have some withdrawals going off the prevacid but in time that stopped too. I was determined to stay off them and today no more acid, aches and pains, nothing. I know now if I would have stayed on the med I probably might not be here in another few years, as to many things were beginning to happen to me.  Strange how some medicine of today can actually make a fellow or gal worse.  One has to get to know their body, then do the research and correct the problems, for most parts anyways. Today this article is out in the news, take a look.

Prilosec, Nexium, Prevacid, Aciphex. These and a dozen more drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) have quickly become superstars of Big Pharma. As recently reported by US News and World Report, last year people worldwide shelled out some $ 25.6 billion for these drugs that are supposed to alleviate heartburn and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Although hailed by most doctors as safe, reports have started cropping up that side effects may include everything from dizziness to osteoporosis, increased risk of heart attacks, pneumonia, and lots more.

Within two weeks after withdrawal from treatment, they experience even worse heartburn, regurgitation and other GERD symptoms than ever — so they have to go right back on the expensive PPI drug therapy.

Thing is there is ways of staying off it and correcting the problem with acid coming back naturally and one should be looking into them even before they stop taking the PPIs.  For myself I could never be happier that I got off them and able to stay off them. It’s been 8 months now and no relapse at all.  After twenty some years too, amazing.  Well thought I would share with you folks as I know what it’s like to have this problem and one shouldn’t have to suffer this way.  My Opinion Only

Tomatoes For Heart Disease,Cancer,The List Goes On

For a long time now here on my Blog, I have been letting folks know the benefits on eating healthy foods. Like Broccoli and Tomatoes for the prevention of Cancer.   Scientists now  say, that a natural ingredient  in tomatoes, taken daily, can stave off heart disease, strokes and lower Cholesterol immensely.  On the cholesterol part, I don’t believe there is such a thing as bad cholesterol, I just think it’s a ploy to make billions of dollars, but that is my thinking alone. So there you have it, just one more reason to pick up a copy of my new gardening book called,  Join Me In The Garden” and get to planting your own veggies.  The book though doesn’t just stop there, as there is all kinds of other things through out it. Like how to make your own medicines out of plants, recipes, even a few good old time stories that came my way over the years, and, well just to many to name.  Have a great day and get out there and make yourself a fresh tomato sandwich for lunch.  Home made bread preferably. Good Old Baking Soda To The Rescue

Good Morning. Here is another item that I would like to tell you about  good old baking soda. For years now folks have been using it in their bread and baking not knowing how good it really is.  The thing today though is most folks don’t do any baking anymore.  At any rate, years ago my old Dad and Grandfather took a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water once a day.  When asked what they took it for, they said keeps the old kidneys up and running nicely.  Now take a look at this article.

A recent study discovered a new use for common household baking soda. The Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (JASN) reported that a daily dose of baking soda could prevent kidney damage and chronic kidney disease…

Hmm … Kind of makes a fellow or gal think, doesn’t it. Another bit of old time advice, that has been lost in our transition to a better life.  Or … what the Powers That Be, would like you to believe is a good thing.  My Opinion Only

Bug Spray & Other Things

Now this article below is one that almost verifies what I have been trying to tell folks for years, concerning the things that they spray and rub on their skin. I for one along with all my family, have never put it on our skin and never will.  It is just common sense that these chemicals are not good for you.  Never ceases to amaze me though, of how easily folks are fooled in toady’s world.  They just take for granted that what ever the Powers That Be tell them is the truth.  Thing is folks, you are the only ones that can look after your own body.  You are the one at the helm and the quicker you can take back the reins the better off you will be .  Also, take the blinders off and do the research on pretty well everything today.  Even from my Blog.  I am not pretending to be no expert or no- it- all by no means.  All that I  am asking of folks, is to sit back, take a look around and keep an open mind, and remember: “Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.”   My Opinion Only

Now take a look, fresh off the press:

The active ingredient in many insect repellents, deet, has been found to be toxic to the central nervous system. Researchers say that more investigations are urgently needed to confirm or dismiss any potential neurotoxicity to humans, especially when deet-based repellents are used in combination with other neurotoxic insecticides.

Vincent Corbel from the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement in Montpellier, and Bruno Lapied from the University of Angers, France, led a team of researchers who investigated the mode of action and toxicity of deet (N,N-Diethyl-3-methylbenzamide). Corbel said, “We’ve found that deet is not simply a behavior-modifying chemical but also inhibits the activity of a key central nervous system enzyme, acetycholinesterase, in both insects and mammals”.

Discovered in 1953, deet is still the most common ingredient in insect repellent preparations. It is effective against a broad spectrum of medically important pests, including mosquitoes. Despite its widespread use, controversies remain concerning both the identification of its target sites at the molecular level and its mechanism of action in insects. In a series of experiments, Corbel and his colleagues found that deet inhibits the acetylcholinesterase enzyme – the same mode of action used by organophosphate and carbamate insecticides.

These insecticides are often used in combination with deet, and the researchers also found that deet interacts with carbamate insecticides to increase their toxicity. Corbel concludes, “These findings question the safety of deet, particularly in combination with other chemicals, and they highlight the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to the development of safer insect repellents for use in public health”

Now, if you keep putting these things on your skin, well … plain and simple, you are not thinking clearly and why is that?  Simple, you have been putting to many chemicals on and into your body, it’s effecting your mind.
