Around Town: Very Quiet here in Port Loring these days. Folks that are out an about are all in the cities shopping I am thinking. But that is OK too, as it gets one out an moving. Nothing worse than being cooped up in the house all the time. Highway 522 is bare and dry at the moment so travelling is good. Don’t forget today is “Cyber Monday” which means there will be deals galore On Line today. I have to say I even found some great buys. Might as well take advantage of them. Feeling great these days and why not. Eating healthy living in one of the best places in Ontario, one should be doing OK. Great to have no worries and enjoying life to the fullest. It’s up to each individual to take the right road in life. Some do some don’t. On another note I had another friend of mine let me know this morning that he got his first deer Bow Hunting yesterday. Great to hear things like that. Said it was quite exciting, got it at 30 yards out. Congratulations goes out to Joey. That brings it up to 12 friends of mine that did well this year and dropped by,called or E-Mailed to let me know. All goes to show ya that there is no better hunting than right here in Port Loring Ontario Canada. Have a great day. You can reach me George Walters if you like at [email protected]

On another note to all those that have been calling and Emailing me asking how my new book on Natural Health is doing. Well…. it is about finished, other than some editing, and some final adjusting. Years of preparation, knowledge gathered from all walks of life and then all put together in a way for all to understand. It is going to be a book like no other. I put my all into it and then some, along with many others, present and past. It will definitely be out this coming spring. 2015. Look for it you won’t be disappointed.

Around Town: Highway 522 is Bare and wet throughout this morning. Should be no problem with travelling. Things will change tonight with colder weather moving into the area, which could give us some freezing rain along with some more snow. As of now though with the last two days of warm weather, the snow is pretty well all gone. Not much happening in and around Port Loring these days. Myself I took advantage of cleaning up our property as it was in need of a few things. I have to say there isn’t any part of it my wife and I don’t love. For that matter there isn’t a window that one could look out that isn’t picture perfect. Bragging? Nope…Just Fact. So my friends, enjoy your day. You can reach me George Walters at; [email protected]

Around Town. Highway 522 is bare for most parts and if the freezing rain holds off it would be a good day to do some travelling. Care will have to be taken otherwise. Yesterday my wife and I took advantage of the Black Friday Sales in North Bay. Stores were almost as busy as Christmas time with lines at the check out backed up with people taking advantage of the sales. For those that shop for Christmas it is a great day to get most of it done up. Myself I believe it is a much better day than Boxing Day. Reason being that the sales are before Christmas not afterwards. Nothing worse than buying something, giving it out at Christmas and then finding it for half price on Boxing day. Doesn’t make sense to me. Changes are in need in that department, which is what is happening. So…my wife and I got pretty well all our Christmas shopping done yesterday enjoying the day immensely. Gas prices were down somewhat too sitting at $1.17 a Litter. So filled up the Ford Edge too. Love that vehicle, there isn’t none better on the road. Also was a beauty of a day, with the sun just a shinning. What could be better. Enjoy your day my friends. You can reach me George Walters at [email protected]

Around Town. Highway 522 is bare in some spots, snow covered and icy sections in others throughout. So care should still be taken if out and about. At least this morning we don’t have to clean out the driveway as we had no snow over night. Suppose to warm up over the weekend though and a lot of this snow will melt. Which again is OK by me. I am ready for spring. So my friends, enjoy your day. You can reach me George Walters at: [email protected]
Good Morning: This morning waking up temperatures were sitting at…-6.2 C | 20.84 F.

Winds this morning are coming in from the…North West and at the moment calm. It will pick up a bit as the day moves forward to around 11 MPH. Good Luck!
Around Town: Highway 522 is snow covered for most parts, from Highway 11 straight through to Highway 69. There is lots of icy sections so care should be taken if out travelling. Not much snow over night for a change, which is OK by me. Gives one a bit of a break from shovelling and things. But it does keep one in shape I will give it that. Care should be taken if your not used to it, but if one eases into it, it is really amazing how easy it really is and how good it is for you in your venture to staying healthy. . As I say though ease into it a little each day, till the old body excepts the fact. Enjoy your day my friends. You can reach me George Walters at [email protected]
Good Morning: Well that was quite a snow storm we had yesterday. I wouldn’t hesitate to say that we had a good foot in some places. That is going by my driveway. Temperatures waking up this morning were sitting at -8.6 C | 16.52 F. Will warm up a touch but then drop quite low tonight and into tomorrow.
Forecast For Today: Stormy at the moment, may improve given a bit of time.

Another friend of mine dropped by letting me have a look at a nice doe he got. He sure was happy let me tell you. That’s what is all about right? Good Luck!
Around Town: Highway 522 is snow covered with some icy sections throughout. Care should be taken if out driving. Heading off to North Bay or ?, extra care should be taken until this weather pattern subsides. Enjoy your day my friends, stay safe and warm but do by all means get some fresh air and expose a bit of your skin to the sun when it shows itself. Doing so keeps one fit as a fine tuned fiddle. Without good health what do we really have? You can reach me George Walters at: [email protected]

I give it a 2 Buck rating out of 5 for seeing a few. Winds this morning are coming in from the North West and calm at the moment. They will pick up to around 6 MPH a bit later. Good Luck.
Around Town: Not to much happening in the way of things. Most stores are quiet and rightly so with all the snow we been having for the past three days. Highway 522 is snow covered throughout with some icy sections underneath that snow. So extra care should be taken if out and about. Myself I will wait another day or so till things clear up some before heading on into town. On another note we noticed something quite strange yesterday while out cleaning out our driveway. My wife and I were standing there taking in natures beauty when up in a tree we spotted a Robin. Usually they have all headed on down to warmer weather this time of year. My old friend Grey Wolf many years ago said that if you see a red breasted bird along with snow, you will prosper in spring. So we will just have to wait till next year to find out if his knowledge comes to being. I have to say I never in all the years knowing the man found him wrong in what he said about things. Enjoy your day my friends. You can reach me George Walters at: [email protected]
Good Morning: Well snowy day here in Port Loring Ontario. Had around six inches yesterday and through the night. Came down quite hard all day yesterday actually. Waking up temperatures this morning were sitting at…-2.8 C | 26.96 F.

Hunting Times; Well rifle season is done with here in Port Loring for this year. Bow season now reopens today for a month. So for those that are into Bow Hunting here are the times to be out there. This morning things are staying that the best times will be from 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM then once again a bit later from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM. I give it a 4 Buck Rating out of 5 for seeing a few. Around Town: Highway 522 is snow covered for most parts from Highway 69 straight through to Highway 11. Also some icy sections throughout. So care should be definitely taken if out and about today. The Snowploughs have been out and things should improve in a bit once the salt has a chance to do its job. With Christmas edging in on us folks minds I suspect are on what they are going to buy their loved ones and friends. Even last week when we were in North Bay the stores were packed and I suspect every week from here on in will be even that much busier. Myself I love the hustle and bustle, just something about it that brings into me the spirit of what lies ahead. My wife and I make a point of just walking through the malls listening to music and what folks are saying on their venturing into the realms of Christmas. Try it sometime, don’t need to buy anything, just take in what comes your way. So my friends, enjoy your day, stay warm an safe. You can reach me George Walters at: [email protected]
Good Morning: Well we here in Port Loring woke up to some snow. Around 4 inches or so. Temperatures were a touch cool also sitting at… -2.6 C | 27.32 F.

Around Town: Highway 522 is snow covered with icy sections throughout this morning. Care should be taken if out and about. Might even pay to stay home today if at all possible. I have to say though it is beautiful with all the snow. Entices ones mind into seeing what is truly important in life. On another note, hunting season with guns is finished after today. Bow season now is open starting Monday November 17/2014. So still time to get that trophy buck if your into hunting with a Bow. I been giving it some thought. Had a friend that hunts out near Grundy Park and he said him and his group got five this year. So congrats goes out to him and his party. Myself I didn’t get one this year, not that I didn’t try that’s for sure, as I was out there almost every day. Couldn’t do much walking and things being a touch sore, but I did give it my best shot. Or so to speak. First week not even a track around where I was situated. Second week it got colder and tracks were showing up everywhere. Just they weren’t moving when I was hunting. But all and all I had a good time taking in what nature had to offer. Sometimes one just needs a bit of solitude to bring things into prospective. At least it is that way for me. Also another friend of mine that owns some property over on Caribou Lake got a nice Buck, day before yesterday. More reports now coming in, so…. there was a lot of folks that did quite well this year. So my friends, stay warm and enjoy your day. You can reach me George Walters at [email protected]

Very dangerous in some cases as folks can’t see it. So care should be taken if your out and about. Still a good day though to head off to town if you so desire. Might even pick up a few good deals with Christmas being on the horizon. Boy where did the year go.. So my friends have a great day. You an reach me: George Walters at, [email protected]

Makes me feel good knowing that our home is warm and ready for what nature will throw at us in the coming months. Seems as long as their is food in the house and warmth, there isn’t much more one could really ask for. Other than a few dollars coming in to pay the bills one might have. My old Dad always told me..”George you make your own roads and where you end up will all be brought on by yourself.” True too if I look back through years. I have to say I have had a good life, living it as I so choose, doing what I want when I want, not answering to anyone. Great way to live for sure. I wouldn’t change a thing. So my friends, have a great day and stay warm and safe. You can reach me George Walters at… [email protected]

With the colder weather moving in I see more smoke coming from chimneys which is a sign that folks are keeping warm and digging into their wood supply. Even started mine this morning just to see how this new one works. So far it works perfect so no complaints as of yet. These new furnaces though do take some getting used to, but all will be for the best I am sure. Should save on my wood pile to about half which puts a smile on my face. Highway 522 is snow covered throughout in some areas with a few icy sections, so care should be taken if out and about. Should melt off a touch once the sun hits the black pavement. Enjoy your day my friends, stay safe and warm. You can reach me… George Walters at: [email protected]
