Here is a picture showing the home where I was raised in many years ago. A bit neglected now and the barn was destroyed by a bad storm. I was located in Coldwater Ontario. They built a smaller one in its place. The Potters, Reg and Laura, adopted me, and I stayed with them till I was around 15. The nicest folks you would ever want to meet. Some have asked for a picture, so here it is. It is a bit blurred with light, but still visible to see. GW

Another beauty of a day here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. The sun is shinning, not to hot, what could be better? Not much in my books. Temperatures at the moment are sitting at 20.7 C | 69.26 F. Today I have some outside work to do around the house here and then will either get back to my Flute Making or … maybe write up a story or two. With that I am off for a coffee with my lovely wife on the front porch, and will let the day unfold around me. This front porch sittin’ takes a lot out of a feller.

Today fishing won’t be the greatest, but no reason not to be out lurking around some Lilly pads. I give it a 2-Star Rating out of 5 for catching a few. Good Luck, and Stay Safe.
Here is a picture of our Tiger Lilies that are out in full bloom. We have numerous kinds around the home here in Port Loring, Ontario. Special in their own way.
Here is a picture of our friend Carrie and her horse Rhythm dropping by for a visit. She didn’t arrive in a car. Years ago I used to have a horse much like Carrie’s, just a touch smaller. Brings back memories for sure.
Well another really nice day here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. The sun is shinning and temperatures waking up were sitting at 11.4 C | 52.52 F. Pretty nice for this time of year. The winds are light coming in from the North West. Yesterday my wife and I did manage to get the lawn cut, install a new chimney top, and clean up the inside pipes and chimney. So we should be good to go when the cold temperatures ease their way into our area. Not that I am looking forward to the colder weather, seems every year it takes a toll on this old body of mine. But there is a remedy for that, and that is go where it is warmer. With that I am off for my morning cup of coffee and will see what the day has in store for me. One just never knows.

Today fishing won’t be the greatest with the winds coming in from the North West. If they change fishing will get better. Today I give it a 2-Star Rating out of 5 for catching a few. Good Luck and Stay Safe!
Here is a picture of the old well pump that was at my school 69 years ago. Still works as my wife and I dropped by for a drink travelling through the area last year. Good water too still nice, cold and sweet.
Here is a picture of my old school in Coldwater Ontario. Separate entrances for boys and girls. We both sat together in the classroom though. Many years ago.
