Good morning.  Well nice day out there.  Temperatures today will reach 44°f. Tonight it will only drop to 31°f.  So all and all things are warming up.  Snow is about 3/4 gone.  Barometer this morning is falling slightly and at the moment sitting at 31.80 in Hg.  Winds are from the South West coming in at 3 MPH.   Highway 52 is bare and wet.  Not from snow though but from the rain we had through the night.  The rest of the week will stay in the upper fifties with mostly sunshine.  So no reason not to get outside and soak up some much needed sunshine.  The moon will rise at 1:13 AM and set at 10:25 AM.  It will be overhead at 5:52 AM & underfoot at 6:21 PM.  Moon Phase today is 66%  Waning  Gibbous.  The sun rose this morning at 7:34 AM and will set at 7:22 PM, giving us here in Port Loring, 11 hrs. 48 mins. of daylight.

News For Port Loring

Warmer temperatures will stay with us for another week or so with plenty of sunshine.  Sap is running but slowed down some yesterday, with no sunshine.  Should pick up today later on when the sun makes her appearance.  I tapped twenty trees this year, not to many compared to most, but enough to fill our needs.   Just one more thing folks could do if they happen to have a few maples around their home.  Nice thing about it, the syrup is good for ya, not like white sugar and corn syrup which is deadly.   So….guess I will head on out to check my sap buckets, see if any run through the night and then get to boiling it down.  Sure nice to be out and about let me tell ya.  Have a great day my friends.
