George Walters is a Canadian columnist and author with more than forty years of writing experience. For over twenty years he has written a weekly column for Postmedia Network — Canada's largest newspaper chain — never missing a single week, publishing fifty-two stories a year. Combined with his work in Reader's Digest Community Voices, World News, Country Living, The Country Register, and farm and rural lifestyle magazines across Canada, he has published well over two thousand stories drawn from everyday life. Book Signing & Story Tellin’ In Magnetawan Along With The Craigs Country & Western Band

Hi Folks, well Saturday at the Fall Fair in Magnetawan went well and got to say we sure had a good time. The picture below is of The Craigs, Country Western Band. Gotta’ say they sure put on a good show for the folks that came. They also brought back a lot of fine memories for me with their songs, as years ago where I was raised, we used to have different groups drop by for a barn dance on Saturday nights. Met some pretty famous folks from them events. Like Kitty Wells, Hank Snow, Hank Locklin, well just to many to name. Makes me sad to think they are all but gone now. But artists like the Craigs will never let them leave us, as they keep bringing their music into the hearts of folks today. I guess that is why I like writing so much, as I might not have a voice to carry the message through songs, but I do pretty well with story tellin’ and a pen. The book signing and story tellin’ went well too. Gives me great pleasure to get up there and watch the faces of folks as I read some stories of days from the past. I would also like to thank the band for introducing me when it came time for me to do my part, along with letting me use their microphone. Great Bunch Of Fellows. So……….guess that is it for now. Tuna is one of the most toxic fish that we can eat.

All large fish fall into that TOXIC category! Tuna is one of the larger varieties and lives longer so it has more time to absorb mercury from the over abundant supply in our oceans. And with all the junk that is in our lakes and oceans today, well lets just say we shouldn’t be eating to much tuna anymore. No one to blame but ourselves either.

Here is a few places it comes from: Body powders, broken thermometers, burning newspapers and building materials, calomel lotions, cereals, congenital intoxication, cosmetics, dental amalgams, diuretics, fabric softeners, felt, floor waxes, fungicides, germicides, grains, industrial waste, insecticides, laxatives, lumber, manufacture of paper and chlorine, medications, mercurochrome, paints, paper products, pesticides, photoengraving, polluted water, Preparation H, psoriasis ointment, seafoods (especially tuna and swordfish), sewage disposal, skin lightening creams, soft contact lens solution, suppositories, tanning leather, tattooing, (contaminated water), wood preservatives.

What Some Folks Don’t Want You To Know

You know there is a lot of folks out there in to-days world that think growing your own medicines is down right crazy. Some don’t even believe that foods have anything to do with health at all. In my mind that is like covering up your eyes and not wanting to see the light.

I would have to say that the medical authorities today is heading in the wrong direction when it comes to the health of us humans. Being a farmer for a lot of years, has given me a look at what I believe shows just how fresh food can help restore one’s body and keep one healthy. Our body is an amazing thing if one takes the time to really sit down and think about it. Eating fresh homegrown items or good organic items is the way to go. Our body even knows all on its own just how much we need to eat and automatically shuts down the urge to eat certain foods when it has enough. It doesn’t need a pharmaceutical company telling it how much to eat or how much to take, no sir. All we have to do is trust in the process of being a human being and enjoy the togetherness with nature. It’s actually called a Protection System and works great if left alone to do its job, as our ancestors for hundreds of thousands of years before us has done. They never had anyone preaching to them what they should be eating or not eating and I got to say they did quite well considering. They just took what they needed and ate it no questions asked. Amazing huh? One just has to put their trust in Nature not in medicine of today as in my eyes it is making us sicker by the minute. Sure there are a few that have helped us and will continue to help us, but one should be looking at alternative ways before, not after the fact.

I believe that our body was designed to survive and thrive in an all natural setting, as if not, you wouldn’t even exist today. Nature knows best my friends. One just has to look at the facts. Modern medicine has only been around for around fifty years or so, that’s not long at all, but good old Mother Nature now she has been around for longer than we can even comprehend. So there you go, my bit on what is happening out there in to-days world. I know I keep harping on this subject, but I feel it’s important, and there is nothing that gives me more contentment and satisfaction than to see you folks waking up each morning, wanting and able to get out there and enjoy your day. So ya, I will keep on trying to get my point of view across to ya for as long as I can. My Opinion Only

Canada Is Slowly Loosing Everything That Our Forefathers Worked So Hard For.

Well, here we go again, another piece of Canada gone for the long haul. You know I for the life of me I can’t see why the Powers That Be can’t see what these off shore countries are doing and going to do to our country we call Canada. Actually I can, it all boils down to money, not what is good for us. Canada is pretty well owned now by other countries. They have controlling interest in so many things that one can’t call it ours anymore and it is getting worse day after day. Thing is folks it’s like farming. The Powers That Be got rid of the farmers, like so many other business on purpose. Reason being they can’t make any money if we grow or do things on our own. In other words they don’t want us to be self efficient We could have been but it’s to late now. What a shame, a country like Canada, now depending on other countries for food, clothes, you name it. Once these countries get a foot hold there is no stopping them. At first it seems like they are giving you the shirt of their back, but there not, it’s only a cover up. Then once they have controlling power, look out. It’s happening now and will steadily get worse. My Opinion Only.
