Cost To Rebuild A Model T Ford 1928

Here is an old post card of what it would cost to fix up an old Model T Ford many years ago.  Click Picture To Enlarge.

With that this should be taken into consideration.  Things seem to be much cheaper back then but consider what wages were. Considering that, things are about the same. The average wage in 1912 was $500/$700 a year. Then there was world war one and wages spiked to an average of $5000 a year in 1928 (the year of the  post card ) All and all, prices are about the same percentage of a pay check. The model T was worth more in 1928 than what it cost new in 1912 but still pretty low.

Good Morning

Another beauty of a day here in Port Loring Ontario Canada.  Sun is shinning with a slight breeze.  Which makes it nice.  Shadows from the trees sure make things look inviting to say the least.

No rain in the forecast for a week or so it says.  That will be nice if true.

I took a picture of a welcome sign out front of our home..  They are painted by my lovely wife who is an artist.  I can’t begin to remember how many signs she has painted for folks over the year or how many paintings she has brought to life.   The sign sells for $150.00 with what ever you would like on it.  Within reason of course.  The wood I saved from a hundred year old tree that I had to take down this spring. Great piece that can be set anywhere. Ours is at the end of the driveway.

With that heading out to the front porch to soak up some of that morning sunshine.  Then we will see where the day takes us.  Just never know what lies ahead.

Have a great day!

My Friend Frank’s Chicken Coup

This is my old buddy Frank’s new chicken coup he made a year ago.  Easy to make if you have the knowledge and tools.  Thinking I might just make one.  Movable too, which is nice, as the chickens then can enjoy fresh veggies at any given time.  Makes for some great tasting eggs.  Not like you buy from those that say they are selling organic.  Truth be known, over half the organic eggs aren’t really organic.
