Goodbye For Now My Fiend: Peter Falk dead at 83

Well here again we lost a great feller.   Peter in my eyes was one of the greatest actors that the world has ever seen.  His death was not really known, or so they say, but earlier he had had some major dental work done.  Kind of makes you wonder doesn’t it.  For me I have my own theory and with the way the medical profession is going today, well nothing more needs to be said.   See you around Peter.  My Opinion Only.

News From Port Loring Ontario

Well been a couple cool days here.  Yesterday was cool enough for me to wear a jacket while getting my mowing done.  Also cloudy and day before that rained most of the day.  Today though is sunny and looks nice but still cool. Winds from the old north bringing in the cool air is the culprit but by the looks of the long range into next week things change back to warmer weather.  At least into the seventies they say, so that is ok with me.  Even had to put on the old furnace for a wee bit this morning to take the dampness out of the old bones and warm up the house a touch.  Today will get at working up my veggie gardens some, so that should keep me busy. Have to say they things are growing nicely too, been eating fresh veggies regularly every day now.   Our store is also open now for the season, loaded with all kinds of new items too.  So be sure to drop by when your out this way.  Can’t miss our place now as out front we have a brand new sign that says.  George & Ruth Walters Author and Artist with a gift shop sign underneath.  Have a great day.

The e.coli outbreak in Germany

The e.coli outbreak in Germany is raising alarm worldwide as scientists are now describing this particular strain of e.coli as “extremely aggressive and toxic.” Even worse, the strain is resistant to antibiotics, making it one of the world’s first widespread superbug food infections that’s racking up a noticeable body count while sickening thousands.

Of course, virtually every report you’ll read on this in the mainstream media has the facts wrong. This isn’t about cucumbers being dangerous, because e.coli does not grow on cucumbers. E.coli is an intestinal strain of bacteria that only grows inside the guts of animals (and people). Thus, the source of all this e.coli is ANIMAL, not vegetable.

But the media won’t admit that. Because the whole agenda here is to kill your vegetables but protect the atrocious practices of the factory animal meat industries. The FDA, in particular, loves all these outbreaks because it gives them more moral authority to clamp down on gardens and farms. They’ve been trying to irradiate and fumigate fresh veggies in the USA for years. (http://www.naturalnews.com/023015_f…)

For Those That Loves SUPERMAN The Man Of Steel

Well Smallville is finished, 10 years and all were pretty good shows.   This Article written by Steve Younis says it all, good writer too.  “There’s no doubt that this was a satisfying finale. Clark Kent became Superman. He flew. He wore the costume. He saved the world when nobody else could. This was a job for Superman. No one else on Earth could have saved the day. No other hero. No government. Nothing. Only Superman… and he did.
Smallville Finale “Smallville” was the journey of Clark Kent becoming Superman. And it succeeded in that premise. It wasn’t a finale… it was a journey. And as such, it’s not an end, but the beginning of the adventures of Superman. Did it leave us wanting more? Yes, but that’s because we know there is more… much more.
“Smallville” introduced us to a small boy whose space ship landed him in a Kansas corn field, grew up in the care of two kindly people, discovered he had great powers beyond those of mortal men, and decided to use those powers to help other people. Through many trials, loves lost and found, friends come and gone, enemies earthly and alien, he prevailed. When darkness threatened, he was the light that shone through. Clark Kent became Superman.”

Now look for the Superman Movie coming out later on this year at theatres everywhere.  I will miss Smallville, as through out the years one might say I grew up with the man of steel, comic books, cartoons, TV series, and Movies.  Will there more, sure there will, as everyone needs a hero.

The Collapse of Our Bees & Why

The silence of the bees – Colony Collapse Disorder continues to accelerate across North America. We already know it’s being caused in part by chemical pesticides (and possibly worsened by GMOs), but the chemical industry is engaged in a full-on cover-up to deny this truth while the pollinators of our world suffer a devastating population collapse. Prime Minister Stephen Harper Gets His Majority Government

First off if Canadians would have listened to me many years ago our country wouldn’t have gotten into such a state as it did before the Conservatives got to power.  I blame it all on Trudeau, he was the guy that started it all.  He was the one that almost took Canada down for the count.  The next one in power Jean Chrétien wasn’t much better if not the same.  On another note.  Canadians gave gave Prime Minister Stephen Harper his first majority government   last night, our man up here in Port Loring Tony Clement got back in, so all in all it was a good night for Canada.   I expected it would happen as such and glad we now have a majority government, just I am hoping they don’t get to carried away.  There is some things I don’t agree with in what they are  planning but the alternative wouldn’t have been good.  With the NDP now being up there high on the ladder, the Conservatives will have to kind of bend a touch, as if not the next time round won’t be so blue in colour.  So lets hope folks, I for one am happy, for now any ways.   Way to go Mr. Harper you did good.  Oh and for the Liberals & the Bloc, well lets just say they are right where they should be, now if we can get rid of this Dalton gang here in Ontario we will be all set. One can only hope.

EPA Raises limits for radiation Canada turns off fallout detectors

Here is an itnteresting article for those that have some concerns over what is  happening in Japan.  Should open your eyes to what is happening here and in the USA, as to how they are making this whole thing in Japan take on a look of not being so bad.  I have said for years, that North America is the only countries in the world that feels it is safe to put millions of tons of poisons in our food, land and water each and every year. Meaning pesticides on our crops, antibiotics and hormones in our cattle and chickens, and treating out sick with drugs that would make anyone cringe if they really  knew what they were made of, along with treating more of our sick with radiation, chemotherapy well just to darn many things to name.  And these are all safe for humans to eat too, in moderation of course.  Are seeing what I am saying here??? My opinion only.

Food Supply Threat From Overfishing, Hmm?

You know them saying that our food supply is threatened is probably right and the threat of overfishing is also correct.  Thing is though the overfishing didn’t cause the problem.  What caused the problem is us humans using the oceans as a dumping grounds for the last hundred years. With all the disgusting things that we have been dumping into the oceans it is a wonder there is anything alive in there at all.  What can we do?  Well lots, but by the time the new Powers That Be come in to play it will already be to late for a world as we once had.  The ones that has to clean up our mess, is our young ones and I do have to say I have seen a lot of changes with the way they are thinking as the young ones are becoming more alert to what is really happening.  Governments will have to be toppled like in Egypt,  as there the ordinary folks are taking back control and throwing out the culprits on the street that have caused them grief for a good number of years.  That I believe is a sign of what is to come here in the world, as folks change their ways back to  a simple, healthy way of life.  So, when you see these articles in the paper of our food supply is being threatened, yes be concerned, but take a deep look into what the real reason is, before coming to a conclusion that is built up only by folks that want to change your way of thinking, to theirs.  My opinion only.

Fishing Buddy Wanted For 2011??????

You know with a few health problems on ones mind it sort of gets a fellows mind to thinking.  Thinking of what lies ahead and what one should or would like to be doing in life.  For myself I bought a good used cedar strip boat last spring, fixed it up and gotta’ tell ya it looks like brand new. Had folks come for miles around just to look at it.  Not that it was worthy of folks making the trip but it is amazing how many did stop by to see the old girl.  Old Girl?  Yep named it Jennie as years ago I had a horse named Jennie and my wife figured it was just the name for my boat. So one day last summer she painted it on both sides.  Looks good too.   Now when ever I look at the boat fond memories are brought to light instantly.    But that is not what I am really trying to portrait here this morning, what I want to say or should, or ask, is if there happens to be a feller that loves to fish, would like to go out once or twice a week and has time to sit back and enjoy life, well……….let me know.   I guess you could say this article is asking for a good old fishing buddy.  I told my wife I would make a deal with who ever decided to take on such a task that they bring the bait and I will supply the boat, motor and fuel.  I don’t think one could find a better deal anywhere, don’t ya think?    Any ways if you feel you would like to get away from all your worries and bring some nature into your life, give me a call or send me an Email so we can discuss this new adventure we are about to take on in life.  I know a lot of good fishing holes just waiting to be had but in saying that I am still open for more.   1 705 757 1640 or [email protected]     I live in Port Loring Ontario surrounded by lakes and nature at its best, about an hour away from North Bay or surrounding towns.   Why am I doing this?  Well lets just say I am in the need of a good friend that likes the things I like, has a few good stories to share and loves fishing.  My wife is in agreement so, hey, lets go fishing.

Warm Day Here In Port Loring

Well we got rid of  a bit of ice along my roof edge.   But thinkin’ we will be needing another day or so of warm weather to finish things.  But………they say no, so might have to live with what we got rid of thus far, until spring arrives.  I also am predicting an early spring for us up her in the north. Hate going out on a limb saying that, but if I don’t I will regret I didn’t in the coming days.   Another good thing with this warm weather my wood furnace has been given a bit of a reprieve, which makes me happy as we can ease up on the wood burning.  Now don’t get me wrong we have more cold weather in the future heading our way starting tomorrow, but I am thinking it won’t last.   So enjoy your snowmobile and ice fishing while you can, as old Mother Nature has plans for us know it all humans in the coming weeks.  Ok with me too, as I am looking forward to gettin’ my new cedar strip boat in the water come the 24th of May.  Well maybe not brand new, but new to me after restoring it last summer.  Will write another post on that in the coming days.  Have a good one.

Wanted….. Family Doctor For Wife & I

You know for most my life I have had an old doctor of prestige looking after me.  Three to be exact, until the end of their days, I have to say I sure miss them. Two even looked after me after they retired from their home.   Many of my stories through my columns relate back to some of our talks and events that took place.  Great stuff for sure.  Today, especially up here in the North it is really hard to find a doctor that you can go in and see on a regular basis in need.  To bad too, as with all the money in Canada we don’t have enough doctors to go around. In my mind there is no excuse for it.    At any rate now that I am older things happen in life and one could do with having a good physician, one that will listen and given time, become friends.   I gotta’ tell you I sure miss them old feller’s that looked after me.  So………..if there is a family doctor out there, Male or Female, that would like another patient, one that likes to chat a bit now and then, I would like to hear from you.   You can reach me at  [email protected] Or  call George  1-705-757-1640 Look Forward To Hearing From You.  I live in Port Loring Ontario, but can travel to North Bay, or surrounding areas, not a problem there.

Cancer From Fluoride ?????

Something To Think About When Buying Your Toothpaste.

February 11, 2011

Danger Of Bone Cancer From Fluoride In Toothpaste, Drinking Water

Concerns on fluoride as a major avoidable cause of bone cancer are urgently validated by its unrecognized 20 percent increased incidence in children under the age of 15 over the last three decades. These concerns are all the more critical as 200 million citizens of all ages are still drinking fluoridated water. Dr. Samuel S. Epstein is Professor emeritus of Environmental and Occupational Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health, and Chairman of the international Cancer Prevention Coalition.
