Good sign though, means folks are out an about and spending money, makes for a good economy. Today going to clean out the old stove pipes. Like to clean them three times a year, first time now just before Christmas. Eliminates a lot of problems that could happen if you don’t. So enjoy your day my friends, get rested up as might need to clean the driveway tomorrow morning.

Quiet as usual here in Port Loring. On a health issue. Many years ago I remember my old Dad saying that he was going to plant a lot of Kale for market. Reason being that Kale is about the most potent healing foods in existence; back then and into today. There isn’t to many foods in the grocery store today that can compare with kale for ones health. My wife and have planted it each and every spring and have indulged in its healthy benefits every evening for supper through out the growing season. You can cook it like spinach or you can eat it raw. We like the tender young leaves raw and the older leaves cooked up, on top of a low heat. Nothing is more healthy for you folks and if you see some in the organic section of your grocery store I can only say this. You will do well to pick some up and get to eating . With the lack of sunshine here in our area it will help immensely in keeping your body & mind healthy and strong. Have a great day.

Well as usual not to much to report around town. Myself just doing some clean ups around the old house and wife is busy with Christmas on her mind. I also have been busy working on our fifth book which will be coming out in the spring of 2013. That will be it for awhile once it is written as I want to work on a health book which folks have been asking for now for over five years. So thinking I will get into that. It will take me a year or so to finish I suspect. Any ways folks, stay healthy, wash them hands after coming out of stores and places where lots of folks congregate. Not using that Disinfectant soaps that make your body sick neither. If you feel the need other than good old hand soap you can use vinegar. It will kill all flu and cold viruses without hurting your body. Enjoy your day.
Cold & Flu Season And What You Can Do
Did you know that good old sunshine which changes Cholesterol into Vitamin D can slash your risk of getting the flu or a cold by a whopping 42 percent if not more—isn’t that a lot better than the highly controversial not so good H1N1 flu shot with all its harmful side effects. Also in winter were sunshine isn’t in abundance you can still get Vitamin C naturally in: kiwi, grapefruit, watercress, alfalfa, strawberries, oranges, and pineapples. Getting it naturally is a thousand times better than in pill form. Also remember that if everyone got lots of sunshine there would be no such thing as high cholesterol. The last item that fights colds and Flu’s Immensely is good old Garlic. Organic Garlic not the stuff from over seas. Locally grown right here in Ontario is what you should seek out. Also Garlic will be a helping aid in the prevention of cancer and common infections and illnesses better than antibiotics. Its chemical compound allicin has antiviral properties also that will help stave off the cold and flu virus. Raw garlic is quite potent for some, so if your don’t like to eat it raw you can simply add chopped or diced garlic to what ever your cooking. Near the end of cooking is the best of course as the more you cook it the less goodness you get out of it.
Ginger Roots & Disease
Ginger has been used for thousands of years as a healer. Its benefits are widely recognized and extremely varied. It is seen as a “warming” food that can increase circulation and reduce general inflammation. While the list is long, here are just a few of the benefits of this remarkable root:
Cancer prevention (Shown in one study to shrink prostate tumor size by a whopping 56% in tests) A few of many items that it helps is listed below. Nice thing about it is that anyone can get it at your grocery store. I have a tea made from fresh roots every night before going to bed. Thing is folks you have to look after your own body and you shouldn’t be relying on the medical world to do it for you. Just doesn’t work that way. A lot say it does but it doesn’t. My Opinion Only.

Cancer & Natural Fixes
Last week Researchers found that Dandelion Roots stop Cancer Cells. Today Canadian Researchers Discover New Evidence That Vitamin D Shuts Down Cancer Cells. Sunshine!!!! Dandelion Link is here if you are willing to take a look at the alternative. http://blogs.windsorstar.com/2012/11/04/first-cancer-clinical-trial-approved-for-windsor/
I have been doing both now for the past two and a half years. Kind of makes one think that maybe, just maybe one should take a touch more notice of what is being portrayed here on the Blog. Lots more needs to be added to these two treatments which I am doing but these two greatly and I mean greatly help you survive cancer. Now in saying all this I can’t take all the credit as I was helped by my old fiend Grey Wolf many years ago him being a native medicine man. Great man and always said that he believes that Nature has a cure for most all diseases just that white man doesn’t know where to look, or for most parts doesn’t want to look as they sooner look towards modern medicine. Along with him I have talked to other Naturalists and worked with them in finding what one needs to carry on in this old world free of disease. Lots more needs to be done that is for sure, but each day as it appears before me I see more glimmers of light that things will get better especially when it comes to Cancer. Folks are starting to come to grips with things and not believing everything that the Powers That Be to be exactly true, there are harmful side effects with these man made drugs no one can deny that. I believe that most modern medicine contributes to many diseases in folks today. My Opinion Only as usual.

Quiet not much moving this morning. Can’t rightly say I blame folks neither. Got my driveway to shovel out this morning so wife and I will get our exercise. Don’t really mind doing it when it is light snow but when we get that wet stuff that is a different story. Kind of figure if everyone got out there and cleaned out their driveways when the snow is light, there would be no need for Gyms. Some say it is dangerous to shovel for us older folks. I say take it in moderation, learn your limits then get to it. A little at a time everything gets done. Enjoy your day my friends.

Well quiet around town but sure isn’t in North Bay. Wife and I decided to take advantage of Black Friday yesterday and went to town to do our Christmas Shopping. I have to tell you it was so busy one could hardly find a parking spot anywhere and traffic, well….I don’t think anyone works on Friday. LOL Good to see though as folks are out and about and spending money which is a good sign for our stores and their employees. Every check out, one had to wait to get served. Even restaurants were lined up. I would have to say it was busier than Boxing Day. I have always said we should follow the USA and have Black Friday here in Canada, as why not give us Canadians a bit of a break. Well it’s here my friends and there is tons of great deals out there. I saved over $265.00 on one item. A few things I bought as I couldn’t pass up the deal LOL will put them away for future gifts. Also in saying all this folks will stay in Canada and shop which is what we need. Still two days left my friends. Enjoy your day my friends.

Very Quiet around town. I should say though a lot of stores here in Canada are now embracing Black Friday in hopes of generating more money. Good for them I say, as us as a whole needs a few breaks once in awhile. Only thing is that where we live way back in off the beaten trail it isn’t just out the door and into the city shopping. Takes us about 1 1/2 hours to get there. But that’s OK. At any rate there is lots of things on sale today so might pay to pick up a few gifts if that is what you do for Christmas. My wife and I still buy gifts at Christmas, seems my boys still like waking up to a Christmas tree with gifts under it. Even though they aren’t boys anymore. Can’t say I blame them neither. On another note stay dry and warm folks and get into eating your garlic & onions. Good couple items to ward off any of them cold and flu bugs that others are carrying around. I was into North Bay on Wednesday and I have to say that the stores were full of folks with colds. Not feeling well and shopping, well I can live with that. But if one is coughing and sneezing steadily, I figure they should stay home, as that is just not having any consideration for any one else. But now a days it seems folks think different than I do. When you do get back to your car make sure you wash your hands. My wife and I pick up a few of them vinegar packages and she carries them in her purse. Then when we need to get rid of a few germs out they come. Can be used anywhere. Can’t be beat and not harmful to us humans, but deadly for cold and flu bugs. Better than any of them disinfectant soaps they have gotten folks using. Enjoy your day my friends.
