Bit Of Humor

Several days ago as I left a meeting at a hotel; I desperately gave myself a personal TSA pat down.

I was looking for my keys.  They were not in my pockets.  A quick search in the meeting room revealed nothing.

Suddenly I realized I must have left them in the car.  Frantically, I headed for the parking lot.

My wife has scolded me many times for leaving the keys in the ignition.

My theory is the ignition is the best place not to lose them.

Her theory is that the car will be stolen.  As I burst through the door, I came to a terrifying conclusion.

Her theory was right.  The parking lot was empty.

I immediately called the police.  I gave them my location, confessed that I had left my keys in the car, and that it had been stolen.

Then I made the most difficult call of all, “Honey,” I stammered; I always call her “honey” in times like these.

“I left my keys in the car, and it has been stolen.”

There was a period of silence.  I thought the call had been dropped, but then I heard her voice.

“Idiot”, she barked, “I dropped you off!”

Now it was my turn to be silent.  Embarrassed, I said, “Well, come and get me.”

She retorted, “I will, as soon as I convince this policeman I have not stolen your car.”

4,000 Niagara students face suspension unless vaccination

4,000 Niagara students face suspension unless vaccination records brought up to date. According to Public Health, immunization has saved the lives of more babies and children than any other medical intervention in the last 50 years.

Now here is a perfect item that should be upsetting folks.  Here is the Powers That Be telling you what and what you can not do.  Talk about a free country.  First off these shots that we are giving to our young in my eyes, are the cause of most of the medical problems today.  I often wonder why some folks think that the human body is so defenseless.  If left to do what it does best, on its own, for most parts it does quite well.   If vaccines work, then of course unvaccinated persons pose no risk to vaccinated persons at all. Is that so hard to see. The persistent, widespread claim that unvaccinated people “put everyone else at risk” is, therefore, nothing more than absurd fear mongering.

A better way would be where individuals have the flexibility to make a risk-benefit analysis for themselves and their children talking with their doctor or professional who know their needs or doing the research themselves. Some may choose vaccines, but others may find that for them, the risks outweigh the benefits. Whatever the choice, all should have the right to make that assessment without government interference. With forced immunity having been disproved, there is no scientific basis for government imposing its will on the people,  usurping the rights of the individual.

According to the Canadian Cancer Society

Today in the news they said that half of all the Cancers could be eliminated by putting into practice life style changes.  Well hey!!!! Hello……I been saying that for the past ten years or so now.  But thing one has to remember is that we also have to change the way we are manufacturing our food.  Eliminate all the preservatives, pesticides, hormone injections, flu shots, most antibiotics and over three quarters off all prescription drugs.  Not to forget all the fast foods we have on the market today.  Then one has to eliminate the way we treat cancer and other  diseases, like chemo and radiation and things like that. These ways are not the answer.  The statistics are there for all to see, just that most don’t take the time to look..  Most listen to what we are told, instead of doing what should be done and what is right. Folks I keep saying this. The answers are right in front of you.  Don’t be fooled, take the blinders off your eyes and start taking your life back. No one knows your body better than you do, no one.  My Opinion Only.

CTV.ca Canadians willing to pay higher taxes for equality

Who in the world did they ask when taking this poll. Sure wasn’t me let me tell ya.  Most craziest thing I have ever heard of, pay more for taxes for equality.  Who are they trying to kid.  Thing is they expect us to believe it.  I do know though that Canadians love tax, as we are the only country in the world that is taxed to death and folks just walk around and say….oh, yea, well. guess it’s OK, we must be getting something for our money.  LOL LOL Wake up Canada.  My Opinion Only

Ex Rays & What They Do To A Person

Just one more thing to the list that shows that these radiation treatments aren’t  good folks.  I keep on stressing to folks to not have any ex-rays unless there is no other way.  In saying that, there is tons of ways of looking at things without having ex-rays. Now think on this, ex-raying ones teeth.  It’s radiation, radiation is deadly. Now think how close it is to your brain.  Doesn’t that tell you something????? if not, your not thinking clearly. Do the research and start taking control.  Take a look at this article.  My Opinion Only

A new U.S. study is suggesting patients have a conversation with their dentists about how often routine dental X-rays should be carried out. Researchers at Yale University found people who frequently got certain dental X-rays in the past — when radiation doses were higher — were linked to an increased risk of a common, but usually non-cancerous, brain tumour.

The study isn’t meant to scare people into abandoning dental X-rays altogether, but researchers want people to re-think how often they get the procedure done.

They say their findings are important because dental X-rays are the most common artificial source of exposure to ionizing radiation for people living in the United States, and that form of radiation is a known risk factor for certain brain tumours.

The Canadian Dental Association says the frequency of a dental X-ray depends on a patient’s oral health and notes that the procedures deliver very little radiation.

The study, which appears in the American journal “Cancer,” studied 1433 patients between 2006 and 2011 who had been diagnosed with intracranial meningioma — a common kind of brain tumour which often turns out to be benign.

All patients were between 20 and 79 years when diagnosed and lived in the U.S. A control group of 1350 people was used for the study.

Researchers found that those with the tumours were more than twice as likely to have had a bitewing dental X-ray — where an X-ray film is held in place by a tab between a patient’s teeth.

The study also found an increased risk of the brain tumours was associated with those who had panorex X-rays at a young age, a yearly basis or with greater frequency. The procedure is when an X-ray is taken outside the mouth and shows all teeth on one film.

Researchers note that a limitation of the study was that patients had to recall from memory procedures they had when radiation exposure was higher — something which may have led to under or over reporting of dental X-rays carried out.

Now in reading this, does it make you more aware of how dangerous radiation is????? Or are you going to keep on having them????? For most, well I know the answer, most will keep their heads buried in the sand and say, oh… well, the specialists know what is best for us.   Wrong you know what is best for you not no doctor or specialist.  Listen up, do the research, find out for yourselves and then make your own practical decisions not others.

Bubba Watson WIns The Masters

Bubba Watson won his first green jacket and if asked I would have to say it was about the best Masters ever.  My old buddy Mickelson added what was one of his most perfect performances coming in at third place.  There was so many good players this year that if one had to choose it would be drastically hard, as they all played magnificently.  Even Fred Couples did well this year and just goes to show that age isn’t a great factor when it comes to playing the Masters.  Great four days my friends and it is a real shame we don’t recognize it more here in Canada.

News for Port Loring & District
Well Easter is upon us and most folks get a day or so off work. So usually that means that folks are happy.  Amazing isn’t it that most folks only get happy when they come into money or don’t have to work.  In reality though them thoughts are just trickery portrayed through ones mind as if the truth be told which I am doing, happiness does not come from outside sources. only from with in.  Think on that for an Easter Weekend.
Yesterday the Masters started and I have to say my wife and I had an enjoyable day watching it.
The scores at the end of the day went as follows.
  • -5 Westwood (Eng); -4 Oosthuizen (SA), P Hanson (Swe)
  • -3 Lawrie (Sco), F Molinari (Ita), Jimenez (Sp), Crane, Dufner, B Watson (all US)
  • Selected: Harrington (Ire), McIlroy (NI)
  • Par: Woods (US), Rose (Eng), Poulter (Eng)
  • +1 Clarke (NI); +2 Mickelson (US) getting a nice Birdie on the 18th hole. Made his day let me tell ya.
  • +3 Donald (Eng), McDowell (NI) +4 Casey (Eng)
  • The biggest highlight of the day was Henrik Stenson he  led the Masters for much of the first day but a quadruple bogey on the 18th saw him fall from five under to finish on one under.   Felt bad for the young feller but anything and everything can happen at the Masters.
  • So now on to day two and I am thinking it will be one exciting day.  Enjoy my friends, that is what life is all about.

News For Port Loring

Well first day of April, boy time sure flies by.  Today I guess I will take it easy a touch, not much sunshine to soak up, but I did get to sit outside in the sun with the old shirt off for a few hours yesterday;  toughening up the old skin for summer and soaking in some of that good Vitamin D which we all need so badly.   I should mention here that anyone can enjoy the sunshine, even if you have fair skin. There is no need to worry about burning like they tell ya. No need to put on the sunscreen and for that matter they aren’t good for you one bit.  Lots of sickness arises from using it.  There is a secret though to being able to sit out in the sun for hours on end without burning.  Well not a secret, it is fact, just no one is telling you how and what to do so you don’t burn.  If one burns out in the sun, it means you aren’t healthy.  You need to add good healthy nourishment to your body. Once you do that and your body becomes healthy, you won’t burn.    You could say your body is a good barometer on your health. If you burn your not well, simple as that and you should be fixing the problem with eating more healthy foods, like organic veggies along with meat with no preservatives and things in it. One today I would have to say has to make a life style change to fix things, if every one did that, we could do without half of our doctors.  So there you go, anyone and everyone can sit in the sun, if they so choose, it’s totally up to you.  Get your body in shape then ease out into the sunshine and see if what I just told you isn’t true,   Have a great day.

News For Port Loring & District

Quiet around town, but one thing is for certain. spring and warmer temperatures aren’t to far off.  Temperatures will get up into the high fifties tomorrow with sunshine, so no excuses to not get some shinning on the old skin.  Think I got spoiled there for a bit.  Today is the last day of March, tomorrow we are into April.  I have to say March sure went by fast, here one minute and gone the next.  OK by me too.  Well had better go and make my wife and I a cup of tea. Feel happy today, more than usual for some reason.  Remember this folks. Happiness comes from with in, not from outside sources. It can be called on anytime no matter what is happening in our lives, bad or good. It’s there for the asking. Some say they get happy with money, which is a lie, some say health which is a lie, some say a good marriage, which is a lie an some say friends which is another lie.  Anyone can be happy, but it is feature that one has to find deep from within, once found though one can walk around with a smile on her or his face all day long.  Enjoy your day my friends and don’t be fooled by others, use your own inner feelings to guide you through your day.

Wake Up Canada

Good article wished I wrote it.  Lot of truth in the message I will say that.

‘Entitlement’  my ass, I paid cash for my Old Age Security!!!! Just because they borrowed the  money, doesn’t make my benefits some kind of  charity or handout !! Gold plated MP pensions and Civil Service Government  benefits,  aka free healthcare, outrageous retirement  packages, 67 paid holidays, 20 weeks paid  vacation, unlimited paid sick days, now that’s  welfare, and they have the nerve to call me a ‘greedy senior’ and my  retirement, an ‘entitlement’ !!!!!!…..scroll  down…………….

What  the HELL’s wrong with us???

WAKE  UP CANADA !!!!

Someone please tell  me what the HELL’s wrong with all the people  that run this country!!!!!!

We’re “broke”  & can’t help our own Seniors, Veterans,  Orphans, Homeless  etc.,???????????
but spent 1.2 billions of dollars for G-20 events
In the  last months we have provided aid to Haiti ,  Chile , and Turkey . And now Khanistan ,  Pakistan ……home of bin Laden.   Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!

Our  retired seniors living on a ‘fixed income’  receive no aid nor do they get any breaks while  our government and religious organizations pour  Hundreds of Billions of $$$$$$’s and Tons of  Food to Foreign  Countries!

They  call Old Age Security and Healthcare an  entitlement even though most of us have been  paying for it all our working lives and now when  it’s time for us to collect, the government is  running out of money. Why did the government  borrow from it in the first  place?

We have  hundreds of adoptable children who are shoved  aside to make room for the adoption of foreign  orphans.

CANADA:  a country where we have homeless without  shelter,  children going to bed hungry,  elderly going without ‘needed’ meds, lack of housing and clean water on Reserves, and mentally  ill without treatment -etc., etc.

YET…………………
They  have a ‘Benefit’  for the people of Haiti  ships and planes lining up with food, water,  tents, clothes, bedding, doctors, and medical  supplies.

Imagine if  the *GOVERNMENT* gave ‘US’ the same support they  give to other countries.

Sad  isn’t it?

When things warm up some though, cold out in that store right now. LOL.  Being cool today had to start the old shop stove, keeps the old bones moving more easily.  Nice to have a warm place to work, makes the day that much more enjoyable.  Also gets one out of the house for a bit and puts one in a better frame of mind.  Well tea time here, then see what the day brings upon me.  Always something different comes my way.  Kind of exciting, waiting to see what it brings forth.  Enjoy your day my friends.

Still quite quiet around town.  Snow is all but gone, maple syrup time is finished, leaving the white birch ready to tap. I tap a couple just to get the sap for health issues one might come upon. Nothing is better let me tell ya.  The old way was that if you drank two cups a day for as long as the sap ran you would live for another year disease free.  Sure can’t hurt a feller or gal.  On another note the Masters Golf Game is upon us next weekend and sure looking forward to it.  I don’t get into much sports but the Masters I never miss.  This year will head into see my son Karl in North Bay and watch it on his big screen.  Average April temperatures in Augusta range from highs around 80 degrees to lows around 50 degrees.  Last years winner Charl Schwartzel will be on  hand to see if he can do it again along with many others.  Until the Masters starts spring isn’t officially here, through my eyes. So get ready, pick up a few goodies, then sit back and enjoy…….The Masters 2012.
