What’s happening? Dec 8/2021

Good Morning!. It’s a cloudy cold morning here in Port Loring Ontario, Canada. The temperature getting out of bed was sitting at -15.9 C | 3.38 F. It won’t warm up much more than it is today. We also had around 8 inches of snow yesterday. Highway 522 is snow covered, so care should be taken if out and about. All that said, things will warm up above the freezing mark starting tomorrow and remain above the freezing mark for 7 or 8 days. So … I would suspect that most of our snow will be gone within a few days. But then again, Mother Nature does what it wants. I have to admit, it sure looks pretty out there with all the snow on the trees and things. Along with that, it is nice and quiet, which I like a lot. Yesterday I worked away here on my computer finishing up my Podcasts for Christmas. Tomorrow will be the first of a two part story. Then next Friday it will continue. It was a bit long, so I broke it up some. The first one is called Women of Yesteryear and the second is called Men of Yesteryear. True story about a couple that worked their farm many years ago. Then the following week on the 24th is my Christmas show. So, lots to keep you entertained over Christmas. On another note, we had some unexpected visitors at our bird feeder for the past few mornings. I took a picture or two, which I added to the bottom of this post. They were entertaining to say the least. With that, have a great day and stay safe. No one really knows what this new variant is going to do. Best to take extra precautions.

What’s Happening December 5/2021

Good Morning! It’s a cloudy morning here in Port Loring, Ontario. The sun did show itself a wee bit earlier. We will probably see some snow later on this afternoon or late this morning. Highway 522 is bare and dry at the moment, with a few icy sections once you’re past Farleys Corners heading East. Seems that stretch of highway 522 is always bad. On another note, I have been working on a couple new podcasts for the past few days along with some more stories for my columns I write for in newspapers and magazines. Keeps me busy and my mind active. Today I suspect I will do much the same. My lovely wife has been busy putting up some Christmas decorations inside the house. Next weekend, she will put up our tree, which means Christmas isn’t far off. Other than that, not much happening in and around our small community. Oh! I guess I could mention that a lot of blue jays are visiting our bird feeder this morning. Along with a few doves, which we like to see. I think they wait in the trees for me to put out some feed every morning. With that, take care and stay safe. GW

What’s happening? Dec. 2/21

Good Morning! So how you all doing this morning? Good I hope. Ruth and I are fine so far these days. Normal aches and pains. Some related to the weather, and some related to getting a touch old. But no complaints, really. Waking up, I see things have warmed up a lot with the temperature getting out of bed, sitting at 5.1 C | 41.18 F. It will remain that way with a shower or two for most of the day. I kind of think, by the way my old weather station is looking, we will be in for some more snow along with a lot colder weather, heading into the weekend. But it is December. Speaking of December, Christmas isn’t that far off. 23 Days. We won’t be going anywhere this Christmas, once again. Our youngest son is going to try and come visit for a few days. Our oldest is heading out West for his Christmas. My lovely wife has put up her outside decorations, and today she is going to start putting up her inside decorations. She sure enjoys doing it. I have to admit, it does get you in the Christmas Spirit. LOL Yesterday I worked around the house here, today I am going to work on a story or two, along with my Podcast for tomorrow. I am also working on a Christmas Podcast which I will post on December 24 the day before Christmas. Highway 522 is bare but wet this morning. Understandable with the weather being so warm and a bit of rain coming down. So it should be good for travelling for those that are in need of doing some shopping. I have heard, that over half of our population here in Ontario is shopping online this year. I suspect that is a good thing with this new variant edging into the picture. But in saying that Pfizer says its vaccine will be strong against the new virus, that is if you have had two shots. And they are working on a new on just in case. So that is good news. With that I am off for a bacon and egg breakfast, with some of our own potatoes fried up a bit with some butter and will then see what the day has in store other than what I have planned. Life is like a good mystery novel. You never know what the next page might bring. Take care, my friends, and stay safe. GW

What’s Happening November 29/2021

Good Morning! It’s a cloudy morning here in Port Loring, Ontario. We are also getting some flakes of snow. It’s nice to watch as they slowly edge their way to the ground. At least that is what my lovely wife says. Highway 522 is mostly bare and dry this morning, but there are some icy, snowy sections throughout. So care needs to be taken when out and about. On another note, I lit my old wood stove in my Woodworking shop this morning, so things get warmed up, as I am getting the urge to make some things that has been playing on my mind. This is the time of year for it. Come summer, I hate being stuck inside. I also cleaned out the ashes from my wood furnace and got it going, so it should be okay now for a week or so. I like the ashes, as I use them for the ice on my driveway, sprinkling it here in there where I drive. The thing about ashes is they have a high shine to parts of it and when the sun hits it things begin to melt even on the coldest day. A lot better than salt. The only issues are, it’s not a good idea to put it down close to the house as it tracks inside … and the women folks don’t like that. LOL, I also fed our birds, which I do every morning. Yesterday we had a bunch of Blue Jays, a few Nuthatches along with 12 Doves. I enjoy watching them as they remind me of being in Florida at our cottage, as they kept us entertained many a morning. Some would come right up to you and take feed from your hand. Kind of miss them days along with the warmth. With that, I am off for a piece of toast this morning, with some jam for a change. Take care and stay safe. GW

What’s happening? November 28/2021

Good Morning! It’s a cloud day here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. It is also a touch cool with the temperature, getting out of bed sitting at -12.2 C | 10.04 F. If we are lucky we might see a wee bit of sunshine throughout the day. But for most parts it will remain cloudy. Highway 522 is mostly bare and dry, but there are a few, snow covered areas after heading east past Highway 524 or, as some calls it, Farleys Corners. It seems that stretch of highway is always the worst for snow, throughout the winter months. So travelling won’t be all that bad today if you’re in need of a few things. Yesterday, being nice and sunny, my lovely wife and I went to town to pick up the things we will need for Christmas. We made it so that we only had to go into two stores. Both were very busy, but we kept away from most people when ever we could. That main thing is going into these places is to make sure you wear a good clean mask, use a good disinfectant on your hands, and wash them as soon as you get back into your car or when you get home. We don’t take any chances. Especially now with this new variant entering into the picture. As I have said many times, I am thinking this virus will be among us for a few years till everyone has had it. The good thing is that those that have had the vaccine aren’t as bad off as those that didn’t get the vaccine. It doesn’t matter how strong you think you are neither, as if it gets into you, your chances aren’t all that good. My advice … Take the precautions necessary and get the vaccine. But, it’s up to you. While in town we dropped off a meal or two for our son in his parking lot, chatted a bit then headed on home. We had a good time taking in things we haven’t seen for a while. It is good to get away to different places from time to time and breath some different air. Today I will be working here in the house on a story or two I have in mind. So with that I am off to put another piece of wood in our wood furnace and will then see what the day has in store. Take care and stay safe. Only 27 days till Christmas. GW

One more thing. My way of looking at banning flights from countries with this new virus. I think we should do that, but we should also share more vaccines with those countries that aren’t vaccinated. Along with that, we should be sharing all data of new variants quickly. And it should be noted that Africa did that. The only defence we have is if we all work together and help each other, all across the world. And more importantly, we should be trying harder to get the correct information to those that doesn’t believe in these new vaccines, in hopes they come to realize, that this isn’t a conspiracy, or anything else and that it is a deadly disease. It’s a shame that a lot have to die for no reason. Anyway, have a great day.

What’s happening? November 24/2021

Good Morning! Once again, we are in the midst of a bit of sunshine. It is cool, with the temperature getting of bed sitting at -0.4 C | 31.28 F. It will warm up a touch as the day moves forward. Highway 522 is bare and dry this morning, which will make travelling good. On another note, we have been lighting our wood furnace now for the past week or so. I haven’t had to put in any large pieces yet as it hasn’t been overly cold. But after tomorrow that will change as there is some frigid weather heading our way. I have to admit, the heat it gives off sure feels good. My arthritis loves it. You could say right now it’s a two stick fire that is needed to keep warm. LOL Yesterday I worked here on my computer as I have been having some problems with Google, relating to my Podcast on the Google Home Speaker. But I think with my Son’s help we have it figured out. Difficulties arise as even Google doesn’t know how to fix something’s. I am glad I have a son that is able to go above them and figure things out. Today I will work on a story or two I have in mind. With that, take care and stay safe. Don’t forget to wear your mask, and wash your hands, as it is the best defence we have from catching this virus, or other things like colds and flues. The vaccines help immensely, but even with them, we that are vaccinated can still catch it, hopefully not as bad. I am pretty sure we will have to deal with this virus for a long time, until science comes up with other ways of dealing with these things. We humans are in … an in between state at the moment. It’s called evolution. Anyway, have a great day. GW

What’s happening? November 23/2021

Good Morning! Once again, the sun is shinning here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. The temperature getting out of bed was sitting at-4.8 C | 23.36 F. It will warm up as the day progresses, but the sunshine should remain with us for most of the day. Then clouds will roll in for tonight and the temperature will begin to rise, which will bring us some more rain for a couple of days. After that old man winter, will start showing itself. Highway 522 is bare and dry this morning, which will make travelling good for those that have to go anywhere. We did however have a skiff of snow through the night, but nothing that will remain with us. On another note I did do some work on my blog yesterday adding a few things. Basically made things easier for folks to manoeuvre around and find things. Today I will work away on another story for my newspaper columns. With that I am off for a bowl of cereal with my lovely wife and will then see what develops. Enjoy your day, my friends, and stay safe. GW

What’s happening? November 22/2021

Good Morning! Hey! We are having some sunshine here in Port Loring, Ontario, this morning. That’s a nice change. But it has gotten colder, with the temperature sitting at -3.9 C | 24.98 F. It will warm up a touch, but not much as the day progresses. I am thinking mid-week it will warm up above the freezing mark, but then it will get cold once again. So roller coaster weather for a few more days before winter gets settled in. Highway 522 is bare and dry, so travelling will be good today if you have to go anywhere. I don’t think we have anywhere to go for another week or so. Yesterday I worked away on a story or two and today will do the same. It’s kind of nice to sit back with our wood heat on these cold days and look out. We still feed our birds which comes to our feeder every morning, noon, and night. I have to say, we get a lot of enjoyment watching them. Right now the birds we see are Blue-Jays, Morning Doves, Chickadees and Nuthatches, and a few Black Birds. On another note, I see there are a lot of sales this year for Black Friday. We did take advantage of a few things, as right now we can buy what we are in need of, for half price. The trick is not to overspend, and what you do buy needs to be paid off immediately if you’re using a credit card. Which we do. Over the years, my lovely wife and I have used these Mastercard Companies, instead of them using us. I do know it’s not easy for some, as it doesn’t take much for a person to get hooked, and them interest rates they charge, are outrageous. So best to be careful. I have always said … “Fill your needs, not your wants.” With that bit of info under your hat, I am off for my morning bowl of oatmeal, and will then see what the day has in store. Life’s a mystery, that’s for certain. Take care and stay safe, the numbers are still rising with this virus here in Ontario. Wear your mask!

What’s Happening November 21/2021

Good Morning!. Starting things off it is a cloudy wet morning here in Port Loring, Ontario. We haven’t seen any sun for a few days now, which health wise isn’t the greatest. That’s where a Vitamin D3 supplement comes in handy. I would say that every one in the North or elsewhere should be taking a 1000 IU once a day. As most of us are low compared to where we should be. The temperature outside still hasn’t been all that cold. Getting out of bed, it was sitting at 2.8 C | 37.04 F. We could see our first snow of any accumulation later on today, tonight and into tomorrow. It kind of depends on how soon the temperatures start to fall. At any rate, there should be no complaints about the weather this Fall, as it has been quite nice. Highway 522 as of now is a bit wet from the rain but bare. On another note, I took a look at my garlic I planted earlier in the year, and it still isn’t showing itself, which is a good thing. I don’t like to see it up above the ground too much before the freezing weather hits. I did though put a good layer of leaves over most of them. We will see how that pans out, come spring. Yesterday I worked in my old woodworking shop getting things ready to do up some orders I have waiting. In a couple of days I will get to that. With that, I am off for some homemade waffles that my lovely wife is making me, and will then see what the day has in store. Maybe I will write up a story or two for my columns. That is, if anything comes to mind. Getting harder and harder to find a good subject after all these years. Take care and stay safe. The numbers are rising here in Ontario with this virus. Not a good thing, for sure. GW

What’s Happening November 18/2021

Good Morning! Once again, we are in the midst of some clouds here in Port Loring, Ontario. But the good news is, the temperature is still quite mild, sitting at 4.1 C | 39.38 F. It will warm up a bit as the day moves forward. If things goes to plan, we should see some sunshine tomorrow. Which would be nice. But no matter what way you look at things, our weather here in Port Loring is and has been exceptionally pleasant compared to other years, and we are coming into December. Highway 522 is quiet these days, which is a norm. At the moment it is bare and dry, so travelling will be good today. For my lovely wife and I, we wait for sunny days if we have to go to North Bay for groceries and things, as it makes the drive in just that much nicer. As many times as we have been to town, we never get tired of it, as it seems there is always something new to see. It’s as if Nature only wants us to see certain things at certain times. On another note, I finished up my painting in our back porch yesterday and got the weather stripping around the doors set into place. Today I am going to be working on a new story for my Newspaper Columns I write for, and if that goes well I will then get to working on another Podcast which comes out every Friday morning. And while talking about my Podcast, I would like to thank all those, once again, for letting me know how much they are enjoying my Podcasts. Also, I would like to mention I have had a problem with the Google Home Assistant relating to folks not being able to hear my Podcasts. But it is all fixed now. If you want to listen to my Podcasts on the Google Home now, as in the beginning. Just say!!! Hey Google, Play Just One More Story by George Walters and you should be all set. Not sure what went wrong, but they eventually fixed it. With that, I am off for my morning bowl of Oatmeal with my lovely wife, and will then see what the day has in store other than what I have planned. You just never know. Take care and stay safe. GW

What’s Happening November 17/2021

Good Morning! It’s a gloomy day here in Port Loring, Ontario. The temperature getting out of bed was sitting at 0.4 C | 32.72 F. Overnight we did have some freezing rain but with the temperatures going to be well above freezing today, it won’t last long. Highway 522 is quiet these days and will remain that way till spring. It is also a bit slippery out there so care should be taken if out and about. Yesterday i did some painting in the house here and today I will be putting some weather stripping around the door in my back porch. So in other words just puttering around. In reality … not much happening in and around our small community these days. With that I am off for my morning bowl of oatmeal with my lovely wife, and will then see what the day has in store. Take care an stay safe. GW

What’s Happening? NOve16/2021

Good Morning! It’s a cloudy cool morning here in Port Loring, Ontario Canada. The temperature getting out of bed was sitting at -1.6 C | 29.12 F. It will warm up a touch as the day moves forward. We could see some sunshine off and on today, but tonight freezing rain will enter into the picture, and the roads could become quite slippery. If it gets cold enough we could see some snow of maybe an inch or so. So to be sure we will have to wait and see what tomorrow brings. Either way, tomorrow won’t be the best of days for travelling. Highway 522 is slowing down traffic wise with hunting season about over. Yesterday i worked in our back porch making some new trim for around the door and windows. I also lit the wood stove in my old woodworking shop for the first time this year. Felt good too. I have been starting our-wood furnace in the house now for the past week. There is nothing like wood heat to take out the dampness in a person’s body and the house. The trick is not to get it to hot. But over the years we have learned how to make that happen. Today I will be doing a bit of painting on the new trim I made which will look after the day. With that I am off for some home made waffles with an egg on top, that my lovely wife is making, and will then get to work. Take care and stay safe, this virus is rising a bit every day. GW

What’s happening? November 11/2021

Good Morning! It’s a bit cloudy this morning, and I suspect the clouds will remain with us for most of the day. It will still be above normal for our area temperature wise, but closing in on the weekend things will start to change, with colder weather entering into the picture and maybe even a bit of snow from time to time. But, it is crowding the middle of November. No one should complain about the weather so far this Fall. Heck, even the grass is still growing in our area, with a few dandelions hanging on. Which is okay with my lovely wife and I, as we make a tea from the leaves once or twice a week. Through the summer we use the roots that we dug, dried and stored away earlier in the year. Yesterday I finished up most of my yard work. With the weather being so nice, we got things done that we were going to do next year. We also had our coffee on the front porch without needing a coat. Today I will rake up a few leaves out back of our home which will make it look nicer for winter. Highway 522 is still busy, but it will slow down starting next week, as the hunting season for deer with rifles is about to close for another year. So with that I am off for my morning bowl of cereal and a cup of fresh perked coffee, and will then get to work. You know. I am grateful that I am able to do the work. Enjoy your day, my friends, and stay safe. GW

What’s Happening November 10/2021

Good Morning! Starting things off … it is a frosty cool morning here in Port Loring Ontario, Canada. The temperature climbing out of the sack was sitting at -1.6 C | 29.12 F. It is cool, but the temperature will warm up a lot as the day progresses. Actually, it will feel like summer out there for most of the day. The long range isn’t all that bad neither, but our daytime temperatures will start to cool down into the seasonal range in a couple of days. So best you enjoy what we have now. Yesterday was a gorgeous day, and my lovely wife and I took advantage of it. We had a few things that still needed to be done outside, and we got them almost finished. We also had our morning coffee on the front porch and in the afternoon. Today will be a rerun of yesterday for us. Highway 522 is still busy with folks heading into town to the LCBO. This time of year, it is the busiest store in the area, LOL. On another note I have a friend that says his garlic is up out of the ground. Which isn’t a good thing, as winter hasn’t started yet. The weather being so warm is making them grow. You want them to get rooted, that’s for sure, but you don’t want them to shoot up too far, as they can get froze back. But you never know, things have a way of working out in spite of what us humans think. The best thing a person can do if that is occurring, is to cover them with a nice bed of leaves, which will protect them. So with that bit of info under your hat, if you wear a hat, I am off for some waffles this morning that my lovely wife is making me, and will then take advantage of this warm weather. It won’t be long before the bitter cold enters into the picture. Take care and stay safe. GW

What’s Happening November 8/2021

Good Morning!. It’s a sunny day here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. The temperature has been quite nice for the past couple days too. This morning, it was sitting at 7.3 C | 45.14 F. It will warm up even more as the day progresses. I suspect some front porch sittin’ will be in order later on. Highway 522 is still busy with lots of hunters. Yesterday, my lovely wife and I went for a drive just to browse around our area. Bottom line what some says they are seeing what’s new, in truth it is just being nosy. LOL LOL But if browsing goes down better … than whom am I to say. LOL We both had a good morning out. We brought a coffee with us and took in all the new things that has taken place around us, along with Nature. It is sure a pretty time of year, that is, if you know what to look for. We also noticed a lot of people are still at their cottages, as the boat ramps are full of cars and trailers. I suspect people are just tired of staying home and are enjoying themselves. I can’t say I blame them one bit. Today I will work away in our home, we have a fellow that is coming in to do some work on our water, adding a few things to make it just that much better. Not that our water is bad, it’s just that it is a touch high on iron which bugs me from time to time, so today we will fix that. With that I am off for my morning bowl of cereal and will then let the day unfold around me as it so chooses to do. You never know. Take care and stay safe. The number of people getting this virus is rising here in Ontario every day. GW

What’s Happening Nov. 7/2021

Good Morning! Well, the last few days here in Port Loring, Ontario has been quite mild for this time of year. This morning, getting out of bed, the temperature was sitting at 6.8 C | 44.24 F. And it will warm up substantially as the day moves forward. Actually it will remain above seasonal temperatures for the next five days. After that, things will start to get back to normal with cooler temperatures moving into our area. But for this week, it looks like front porch sittin’ time. Can’t beat that. Who would want to take a chance going to Florida when the temperatures here are almost as nice. Now, don’t take me wrong, as I have enjoyed heading to the sunny south for a good number of years. But with this virus still strong among us, I don’t feel it’s worth taking a chance. As Florida is still having a lot of infections daily. Actually our numbers are rising too here in Ontario among our young ones at school and the ones that aren’t vaccinated. Not much we can do, other than wait it out. Until those that doesn’t have the vaccine catches it, the numbers will keep rising. Kind of shame that, so many have to suffer, but it is their choice. Highway 522 is still busy these days with hunters moving into our area for the second week of deer season. After that, things will slow down immensely. Which is fine with me, as my lovely wife and I are ready for a well-earned rest. Although, I do have lots to do in my old woodworking shop. My wife also has orders lined up to do, which will keep her busy. Yesterday I worked away here in the house on another podcast and today will do the same. Maybe after lunch, if the sun stays with us, we will head on outside and soak up some of that sunshine that we all are in need of these days. With that you all take care. GW

What’s happening? Nov. 3/2021

Good Morning! I hope everyone is well on this fine-looking Wednesday morning. At least it is looking nice here in Port Loring, Ontario, weather wise. It is a touch cool this morning, with the temperature sitting at -2.6 C | 27.32 F. It will warm up a bit as the day moves forward. We did have a skif of snow overnight, but we should see a lot of sunshine throughout the day. The good news is, that after today things will start to warm back up again. Heck, we might even get some front porch sittin’ in. Can’t beat that for this time of year, let me tell ya. Yesterday I worked inside for most of the day on a story or two. This morning, I lit the wood furnace in the house and my woodworking shop for the first time this winter. Feels mighty nice, too. It’s amazing the difference in heat between oil or gas or wood. Wood is the best of them all. They say wood is bad for our environment, but I don’t believe that for one minute. Contrary to what many may think, burning wood for heat does not add to your individual carbon footprint, as wood gives off the same amount of carbon whether it is burned up or decays naturally. Wood burning does not release any more carbon dioxide than the eventual biodegradation of the wood if it was not burned. The oil, gas and electric companies won’t tell you that though as they are out to make money. Highway 522 is slowing down these days other than a few trucks moving up and down the highway. Which is from all the building that is going on in our area these days. With that I am off for my morning bowl of oatmeal and will then see what the day has in store. Take care and stay safe. GW

What’s happening? November 2/2021

Good Morning! So how you all doing this morning? Good I hope. Ruth and I are so, so with a few issues, mostly caused by getting a touch older. But we are dealing with them on a daily basis. My theory is, figure out the problem, then figure out the cause, then do something about it, naturally if possible. And then go from there. On another note it has been cool for the past couple mornings with the temperature this morning sitting at … -0.8 C | 30.56 F. It will warm up a bit as the day progresses. We could see a shower or some light snow off and on today. Highway 522 is busy but not too busy as most of the hunters are back in the bush. It will pick up a wee bit near the end of the week when they all get tired of being out in the cold. LOL Yesterday I didn’t do too much other than a few things around the house. I did rake a few leaves and dug out the remainder of my kale that I had left to grow in our vegetable garden. It was about done for this year. Today I will work away on another Podcast and a story I have in mind for the Newspapers I write for. Which will keep my mind occupied for most of the day. With that I am off for my morning bowl of oatmeal and will then see what develops. Other than what I have planned. Have a great day, take care and stay safe. GW

What’s happening? Oct. 30/2021

Good Morning! It’s a cloudy morning here in Port Loring, Ontario, Canada. It isn’t that cold this morning, with the temperature getting out of bed sitting at 5.7 C | 42.26 F. It will warm up a touch more as the day progresses. No one can complain about the weather for the past few days, that’s for sure. My lovely wife and I have sat outside enjoying our afternoon coffee now for the past few days. We might be able to do it again today, as we should see some sunshine later on in the day. Let’s hope things work out. Highway 522 is still very busy, as is the LCBO. It’s the busiest store in town, LOL. On another note, things are starting to dry out around our home, as it sure has been wet. My vegetable garden is more like a lake than a garden these past few weeks, LOL. But things dry up fast in this country, with the soil being rocky and sandy. The grass is still growing, but it also is slowing down a bit. I won’t be cutting it anymore this year. The leaves on the trees are all but gone. There are a few holdouts, like the Silver Birch and the Silver Maples, along with the Oak trees. They seem to hold onto their leaves till the last minute. I guess they hate to see the summer end. Can’t say I blame them. Yesterday I worked on a new podcast along with some stories for my columns I write for in the newspapers. This morning I will do the same and then this afternoon when the sun comes around to our front porch we will be sitting outside taking in some much-needed Vitamin D3. I would think living in this part of Ontario that almost everyone is very low in vitamin D. Without it, we open the door to all kinds of virus’s and things. So it would pay to take a good supplement of the D Vitamin every day. Around a 1000 IU should do it. With that I am off for my morning bowl of oatmeal and will then see what the day has in store. You never know. Take care and stay safe. GW

What’s happening? Oct. 28/2021

Good Morning! It’s another sunny morning for us here in Port Loring, Ontario. The temperature this morning was cool, sitting at -0.3 C | 31.46 F. It’s the first morning that we have had ice in our bird bath. I guess I had better put it away for winter. It will warm up as the day moves forward. Actually … my lovely wife and I sat out on our front porch yesterday and enjoyed our coffee. Which was quite nice. And by the looks of things, we might be able to do it again today. Might as well take advantage of this weather as long as it lasts. Highway 522 is still busy these days, and I suspect it will continue to be busy for the next few weeks. Once the snow hits, things will slow down drastically. Yesterday, I worked away on a podcast and a few stories, along with trying to fix a few things that are happening with my wife’s computer. No luck. So … I will drop it off at my son’s place in North Bay in a few days for him to fix. We are lucky to have a feller that can do these things. Today I have a few things to move around outside, so best get at that before the snow flies. Easy to do now. With that I am off for my morning bowl of cereal and a cup of fresh perked coffee. Just the smell of it gets me motivated, LOL, Have a great day and stay safe. This virus hasn’t gone anywhere, it’s still lurking in the wings, patently waiting for its next victim.
